Shaq legit has 30+ jobs, even after retiring from basketball… he said nothing but the truth! It’s not about being selfish, it’s about maintaining that wealth beyond living generations and if they get comfortable - they will undo everything he is still working hard for

People need to learn a balance when they're raising their kids and have great means. Reminds me of 50 Cent and the falling out he had with his baby mama on the air because he wouldn't give his son a crazy amount of sneakers for school like nah he has to earn atleast some of this you can't spoil him rotten. Some of these kids grow up spoiled rotten, don't appreciate the work/hustle/etc and won't have the drive to make it happen for themselves because they're so use to relying on the parent. Shaq is setting his kids up for the real world.

Why have children then if you are not going to bless them after you’re going? At the end of the day, there is no empathy with MONEY. Money is a TOOL to use to make life easier for you and your loved ones. People just like to hear themselves talk and sound tough. If I’m a multimillionaire and I have kids, they getting it all. I’m sure his kid don’t want for nothing he just tryna teach them a lesson about responsibility. Charleston was really explaining it good. There are a lot of spoiled rich kids that don’t know anything about responsibility or empathy because their parents have the money and power to pay and cover up their mistakes. Spoiling your child is not always good. It enables them to think that oh I can do this because my parents have money.

Charleston is right about that. If you are given something you are usually not appreciative like if you earned it. Oh and Charleston, at 22, mama didn’t “put you out” nigga you was grown. You supposed to have been out. That’s why DADS are important. My pops, man, SOON as school let out for summer and me and my cousin was chilling watching tv, playing PlayStation and all that, the next MORNING pops got up to go to work he woke US UP TOO! He said: well, I got to go to Hewlett-Packard and y’all gotta go to….? We said: what? Nowhere. He said: yeah, that’s over. Don’t come back in this house with zero applications filled out or anything. Y’all better have SOMETHING planned for work in the summer (we were both college students or college bound) because I’m cutting off EVERYTHING during the day. I thought I was going to be slick and dip back to the crib and it was HOT, NO DRINKS IN THE FRIDGE AND THE CABLE HAD A CODE ON IT SO U COULD NOT SEE TV!!! That nigga wasn’t playing! I started work at my old school the next week and my cousin worked at the Gap in the water tower downtown Chicago. We been on our stuff ever since. We both have families and our own cribs now and WE are gonna be teaching this same thing to OUR SONS, ya heard?!

People saying, "he should have been taught before he was put out", don't realize, each generation learns and does things differently. My grandfather had 9 kids, and if someone got pregnant or when they turned 18yrs, they got put out(unfortunately, that's how things were done), but it was that generation. Now, some of those kids either do the same or let 'em stay too long. I tried to raise mine like I won't be here for them to "fall back on", that way they're strong enough to make it(I'm also here to help if I have to☺️)
