I tie a few head styles. One I love is just put deer hair in plastic bag type clip (dubbing loop clip) spin into a loop and wind on the head. Super easy, buggy and durable. Has a little less buoyancy than spun heads, that I end up with anyway.

Now for the awesome video. This is the one video I’ve found the hasn’t rushed through the video with leaving out key parts of tying. Do you think 20lb braid would work instead of 20lb mono. Thanks.

Thank you! I think you'll be okay with it for now. An issue you may run into though is if the braid isn't as stiff as the mono and it sags off the end of the hook it may cause the hooks to get tangled with each other more, but I'm not certain. Definitely give it a go and see what happens! I don't think you'll have strength issues, that's for sure.

Not on this particular fly, but I do like using hooks that are oriented upwards. 👍

You still fishing this pattern with success? And when you fish this unweighted variant, you throwing it on sinking line or what?

When I last used it it was successful. I actually haven't fished streamers in a while and this pattern specifically for almost a year. I usually fish it unweighted or with split shot about a foot up the tippet on a mono rig.
