I love this!!!! I had made a lot of moss stitch squares with the intention of making a blanket, but I couldn’t find a good way to put them together without a ridge in between. This is perfect! I just finished my blanket and it looks wonderful - exactly the look I wanted. 👏👏. I love your technique and thank you so much for sharing. ❤❤
Awesome! I am so glad this helped. Moss stitch is such a handy way to join any kind of blocks since it does;t need a set amount of stitches to work out.
Thank you! I just finished a temperature blanket for the year my daughter was born. 'Sewed" the blocks together and really did not like the result. So I took apart and looked for a better method and came across your tutorial. What a perfect joining stitch for the moss stitch (most join-as-you-go stitches I found are for granny squares). The finished look is wonderful. Thank you!!!
this is just what i have been searching for to finish my temperature blanket! i'm doing the year of 1994 to commemorate my 30th wedding anniversary and am almost finished and itching to join it all together! thanks so much for the great detailed tutorial! i've subbed
I'm just joining some giant Moss Stitch granny squares in this video - but I have a pattern for the Moss Stitch granny squares here (not a video though, I'm afraid): mayhemandmajesty.com/shop/majestic-moss-blanket/
I just found this tonight looking for how to join moss stitch anything really as I'm working on some striped leg warmers (with like 5 colors) and the pattern just said to sew the sides together... which is FINE if I knew exactly how wide I was making it, but being able to just moss stitch the edges together into a tube will let me be able to try it on and make sure it's wide enough for the widest area I want it to hit and not super baggy elsewhere... and then if it's too big or small I can just undo the closure, adjust, and reclose it. :D
I love this join as you go moss squares. ❤ My question is, when you join, did you use a different yarn all together, and all the squares are at the determined size? Please help. Thank you
Any count will work - but if the count is even, then you'll need want work one sc2tog stitch to make sure you end with a chain space before the corner. If that makes sense?

Yes all my squares are the same size and I am joining them will all at the same time with the same color.
Thank you for this tutorial!! Your work is beautiful. Does it matter if I end on an even stitch count or odd row on my squares before joining?

@@mayhemmajesty2172 yep makes perfect sense. Thank you!
