Rodrigo, I really give you credit at being a good man. You encourage Freddie when she is trying new things. You make her feel comfortable at doing it instead of constantly showing her. Way to go.
Rodrigo Startded with lolas farm subs and then both agreed to seperate videos an content so his channel would grow on its own..good idea..it worked. He tried for some love sometimes...Took a while and then Freddie popped up and she is down for it..Its like an adventure for both of them.
My dad is 75% German and 25% Sweden… So I like to say when I build / I build like a German - I overbuild. If my house rolls down the hill, as long as it lands right side up, I think it’ll be fine… lol
It's a perfect day for hot choclate and a fire! And you're playing farmers now for Lolas farm. ( tomato soup and homemade sourdough bread is perfect too!🍞🍅 ) yes wild dogs will eat chickens 🐔
R&F - for the “work shop” corner brackets to strengthen the beams - use a piece of scrap 4x4 (4-6” long) , cut into diagonal pieces instead of the little metal brackets. LOVE watching!
I think the roof is a good idea.. I think with the high winds it may not be enough you should use some long strips of wood to put around all the edges to keep it secure because of the high winds.. You can do your roof almost like your framing a picture.. if you get what I mean.. But I really enjoy your videos and I'm really happy about you and your new girlfriend..
For all that they do to take care of and provide for us, taking care of and keeping a good man is relatively easy... At the end of the day they simply want our respect, appreciation and a full belly. Rodrigo is an incredibly good man and Freddy knows exactly how to take perfect care of him.
Love the clear panels they’re perfect.people here in the US actually use them to enclose porches instead of glass. You could use them behind both benches as rain protection also or whichever direction the most rain comes from
I really love the new look of the opening. I really got a big smile. I've been following you since the treehouse days I think I was about the 75th subscriber of your channel. And I have watched you come such a long way. I have so much respect for you and I'm so proud of you, to see you come 4th and live your life so freely and organically is just a beautiful thing. And you're beautiful girlfriend has made such an improvement in your life you can see the love every single twinkle in each one of your eyes. We love you guys keep up the good work and I love the simple editing of the videos. There's no over dubbing of music there's no b-rolls that go in to all this stuff it's just spot on.
You should put a couple see through walls on the side that is most likely for rain to blow in. make a frame that you could screw on plexiglass on 3 sides and remove it when the weather is nice. I’m with Freddie. She has great ideas. Listen to the woman. 😂
Fresh baked bread with whipped butter and café con leché - hmmm 😋😊 sitting in the gazebo listening to music with my eyes closed while the sun shines - Shhh no noise please 🤫😊❤
Oh, you make me so happy with your dreams! So many ideas! And you can make them all happen! You do need a dry space to work in the rain. Maybe build your house deck out more and enclose one side with glass. You can have it all!!!! Can’t wait to see you use your new dry space!!
You do great work. But I do recommend that you build with steel pipes when you build a larger greenhouse. Wrap the pipe that goes into the concrete so it doesn't rust. Wood with rot when put in concrete. The pipes you can sometimes find cheap because it's old water line. And you can weld the braces and it should last for a long time.
You two work so well together. It makes me happy to see ❤ I think it is a wonderful idea to build that new covered work space. You very don't get much shelter from the rain.. Awesome job you two!! And Freddie, I love it when you bake !! The homemade bread looked Delicious and could swear I could smell it and taste it... I also loved to make homemade soup, Freddie. I usually just do a chicken or vegetable stock and add broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, gold potatoes, onions, brussel sprouts,( cut in half or quarters) and water chestnuts❤ Oh, and GARLIC!! AND CABBAGE, I FORGOT THE CABBAGE... SO SO GOOD 💯 And so good for you ❤ Blessings and Love to you Rodrigo and Freddie 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🥰🥰🥰
That was a quick easy way to turn a unused space into a useful one. Well, quick and easy for us. Love the roof. Don’t build the fire too close or too big. You’ll melt your roof. Love you guys too! From Oregon with ♥️ Jess 🇺🇸♥️🇵🇦
Your frame looks plenty strong. The only thing you might have trouble with in high winds is the roof panels. Lay down a half a dozen thin wood strips like battens and add more screws. That way it presses down on the whole width of the panel and not just under the screwhead.
I was thinking at the end there is the bit where the panels dont quite meet the last beam, the wind will definitely catch there, I wonder if he could move that beam in a bit and screw the roofing panels down to that last beam?
Hey guys fantastic content, and for some one who does carpentry. you have the right idea, using bolts or lag bolts. And yes use L brackets, to give it more support. Here is some other advice. you like to second guess your self, but stop guessing. you are smart, and you are doing great, if you make a mistake, mark it as a learning experience, and move on. take a look at what you accomplished already, you built an A frame home, you done great, I know my opinion doent mean much , but Iam proud of you, keep the confedence. And Miss Freddie, your a wonderful support , keep up the good work.

Oh, you make me so happy with your dreams! So many ideas! And you can make them all happen! You do need a dry space to work in the rain. Maybe build your house deck out more and enclose one side with glass. You can have it all!!!!
Yes, I completely agree 💯 about building an awning for the deck so the rain doesn't hit them straight on with no covering❤🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼 This way they can enjoy that beautiful deck they made and have coffee together without getting soaked..
So great you have a lovely place to work under in the rain - and you can still see the sky. Well done guys❤️You patience, kindness and love for the animals is heartwarming. You are a great couple.
You guys are always very hard working and such a well matched and loving couple. I love the workspace with the see through roof. I think next project needs to be a chicken coop! Good job guys!
Build the back deck... and obvious better choice .... the width of the house plus 5 ft on each side AND out at least 20 ft. They already have electricity and water there. ????
If you've planned a back deck anyway, why not start it and put the dry workspace on the ground underneath that (where water tanks are)? A stairwell for back-of-house access might not be a bad idea as well.
Rodrigo, you are such a hard worker and so ingenious! You have a great attitude and always find a way. Freddie, your loving kindness and joy make so many people smile! You two are great together! Yea for the Jungle Couple!
How considerate of your land mates to leave the country without having to worry about animal feed and supplies! You are an excellent steward of the animals and of the land. Connected.

Add a block of wood on the side of post, under the where the two beams overlap. Next time… notching the side of the post to allow the beam to rest directly on the post is much stronger. Then bolt to hold in place but the load is on the post. The way you use the bolts creates a load on the bolt. Its strength is the shear strength of the bolt verses a solid post under neath. Metal brackets provide additional support from wind / weather related stresses, twisting etc…. Set your post, notch post, hang beams, lag bolt it together. It’s a light structure and will suffice as you have it. It may not last longterm, but will meet your urgent need.
Love you guys how well you work together. Loved the trim on the second floor it looks great. Also the addition to the outside area to make it bigger and with a see through roof to be able to cut, sand and seal wood for all the remaining projects to get the house finished and looking like you both want it to be. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey and until the next one be safe and prosper.
Yay! Last week, I spoke about using the polycarbonate roofing panels, and you indeed do have them. I know I've heard you say many times there are things you can't get in Panama. I was going to suggest something like your "hanging out area" but closer to the back corner of your house where you store many of your things under the house. This way things remain close for ease of moving from the back corner to inside the house. If you built a lean-to roof that over hung a couple feet over your house it would shed water on your existing house roof and into the gutter system and still have a dry spot to work under and continue to use some of the space under the house without having to bend over so much. I hope this makes sense. I'm not feeling well today and didn't sleep much last night. Also use those types of panels for your greenhouse.
The upper strukture will hold fore some years..But never put wood in concreet...it will rot and fall apart..and the ground water you have it will twerk and fall over you.
Wow I was wondering if I was the only one that knew that. It's a bad idea in a place that gets a little rain, but when you live in a monsoon type area it is always a no no.

Slope the floor from the back door to the end like 2-3 inches over the 15 to 20 foot deck length. With a solid deck/floor everything under could be made into a workshop/ storage.
You guys! Before you start your next project, do some research on how to construct it. Save yourself from having to “reinvent the wheel” each time. 😊 ❤ Instead of those little L brackets, which over time, will bend as they’re not big/strong enough for this application, add a 45 degree cut piece to the upright 4x4 and the header. Those see-through panels would be great to redo the greenhouse since the goats broke into it and ate everything!
