Hi, you may already realize this, but the lava flow stopped *exactly* where the two statues used to stand. You can still see where they were, marked by partial rings of rock & offerings people have left. They're right next to the wall of lava where the cement pathways were cut off.
That has really built up by the ocean currents,seems like a impossible task to keep a path for boats open.will be interesting to see how that progresses.
Interesting update. Many people think creating a new boat ramp just to the north would be cheaper & easier 🤔

Seemed to take forever for them to make the final call on this project!? I'm sure the local fisherman can't wait.
