- Despite never playing one NBA game due to his untimely death just two days after being selected 2nd overall in the 1986 draft, Len Bias has one of the most storied legacies in the history of basketball, and due to so much unknown about what Bias could have been, his legacy lives on because of the strength of that “What If” scenario. Bias was an incredible prospect, one of the only players who could stand toe-to-toe with Michael Jordan, a good childhood friend of MJ’s, and the man who now people believe would have had much more success with attempting to knock Mike off his pedestal for the entire 1990’s decade. So, with all that being said, in this video thing that you see right up there, I was able to rewind the NBA back to the 1989-90 season, and see how much of an impact Len Bias really could have had throughout his career.

If Len Bias lived Larry probably would’ve had less of a strain on his back cause he wouldn’t have to do as much work as he was, and the Celtics would’ve no doubt won back to back chips (they had literally just won a championship the year before Len was drafted)

My dad was an NBA fan in the late 80's early 90's and I remember him telling me he believed Len Bias would have been one of the best.
My dad was a Celtics fan (as am I). When I was a kid, he told me all about how great Len Bias was and how devastating his death was.

Day 4 of asking clique to sim the career of a 0 year old. The way to do this (or at least how I did it) is by simulating to the future and taking the player DNA of someone who was born in 2020 and importing them into a save in 2020. But I was on console I dont know if you can just mod it to make it easier but still I think it is a good idea.

Clique thank you so much for honoring this player. When I was young and they still had D.A.R.E. in schools, our instructor told us the story of Len Bias, a player who rivaled MJ, but someone who had their life cut short by a tragic drug experience. It was a story that had a great deal of influence on me as a young person, and steered me away from trying drugs because I didn't want to take a chance that my life could be over from a single mistake. I had asked you to do a career simulation of Reggie Lewis a few weeks, another great player of that era who also passed away tragically young. Even though he wasn't the focus of the video, his inclusion made me really happy. His passing was really sad and shocking as a kid. Thanks for all the content and hard work, much gratitude.

he did have help on the Suns & Rockets. He just wasn't willing to put the time in the off season to be ready for the regular season.
@@JKTProductionzIncNCo He had a couple good roleplayers on the Suns while he was still in his prime and made it deep in the playoffs with them, but him and Hakeem were both in their mid thirties by the time they were together on the rockets. He mever had another superstar along with solid roleplayers in his prime like Jordan and pippen or stockton and Malone
@@kylehavens5038 he literally had Kevin Johnson and Dan Majerle on the sun's. Ones an all star point guard and the other is an efficient scorer. Barkley had help in Phoenix. Stop the cap with the rockets, that was still Hakeem and they had at least half of Clyde Drexler.
@@austin5944 Yes, and he made it to at least the Western Conference Finals with the Suns every year he was with them (and they were hard fought game 7 losses in 94 and 95) except for the 1996 playoffs where his back injuries were limiting him and David Robinson was on fire. I don't see where the assumption that he didn't put in the work during the off season is coming from. Sure, by the time he left phoenix he got lazy, but he was 33-34 by then.

Day one of asking for an alternate history where Larry Bird demands a trade after being insulted that Bias is taking more and more of his minutes as the team moves in a younger, more athletic direction with the addition of Reggie Lewis. You take control of whichever team Larry gets traded to (possible plot twist: he does a KD and joins Magic in LA after Kareem’s retirement so they can take on the Bad Boy Pistons together)
The bit about Chris paul being short and still being pretty good at basketball inspired me to follow my dreams
