I got that bottle one time about 3 years ago and loved it! I also blind taste-tested it with several other 1792 offerings and had it come in second with that years single barrel beating it (but not by much). I do not recall how much I paid exactly; but it was easily around $60+. In today's market, secondary price is the only way to get it without traveling the country on a whiskey hunt. The 1792 12-year is definitely on my "Buy It Again" list!
i really like the small batch(i always have a couple on hand)...the BIB is awesomeness as well(i only found it once and only 1 bottle and at msrp)...haven't been able to find anything else
The 1792 Twelve Year is my favorite of the 1792 Offerings. I was lucky to get 2 bottles of it for $55 each. I also have a Single Barrel store pick that is fantastic. 🥃
One of my favorites. This has been showing up all over the Cincinnati Ohio/Northern Kentucky region over the last few weeks. Going rate seems to be right around $80 in the NKY stores.
I picked up the Small Batch after a raffle and I like it best out of my low proof sippers. As for letting a whiskey rest, the rule of thumb I go by is "a minute in the glass for every year in the cask," and if it's a neck pour, double it. Of course, the challenge with that is finding something to talk about to camera for that long while we all wait.😁
I managed to find this one in March. I find it to be really good. Goes great with a cigar. I didn’t get cocoa on mine either, but I have a few other whiskies that have strong chocolate notes. Mine cost me $80 because the stores here like to make extra money.

Great bourbon. But I got it for retail. Like $55. $175 sounds crazy to me.
Tell me about it

after it opens up a bit i get the cocoa with frey ranch(nose and palate)
What’s Frey ranch?
@WhiskeyWonderWoman Frey Ranch is Bourbon and rye out of Fallon Nevada
@@robertbass151 I will look out for that one!
@@WhiskeyWonderWoman also 13th colony
Let it sit. I hope it opens up for you!
The 12 year is the one I am missing (not counting special releases) 🥃😎
I did a blind between this and Weller 12 year. 1792 won easily between 4 of us
I don't think it will be a loss but maybe a lesson if you don't happen to like it
I see 0 of them in Nebraska, only the SB.
Wanna share a sample 😂
she is good
