OK whomever told you to watch that for your first TON reaction really wanted to mess with you. Their live stuff and "Official" videos are usually heavily edited or just flat bad. For example, take one of their most popular songs Black No. 1 has an "Official" video out there with a 4ish minute runtime, a 8ish minute edited version and finally the real album version ( th-cam.com/video/JmijMVT3x-0/w-d-xo.html ) is just over 11 minutes long. So comparing video lengths to album song lengths is almost a must for Type O Negative songs. Also to say their music isn't for everyone is an understatement. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that most of the time they're very tongue in cheek with their music. PS The lead singer had actual fangs implanted by a dentist, posed for Playgirl, appeared on Jerry Springer and the band covered a Brittany Spears song among other things. They have been referred to as the drab four and their music called irreverent because they didn't take it seriously while making songs about things some would consider distasteful. I'm quite sure a real TON fan can tell you even more.
The band plays the song a bit faster than the original mighty spooky dark song which I love so much. Or maybe the video is a bit too fast? This band is amazing in nearly every experimental song and Peter was a metal God and also very handsome.😂🤘... You have to hear the songs more times. I love the album "October Rust"
Why would you choose this song let alone a live performance to react to as your first song from them? There are MUCH better songs to choose from to properly reflect the talent of the band. Try the studio version of " Love You to Death"

not even gonna bother with this one. TON is in one of my top 5 bands but regardless, someone pointed you to the wrong song for first time listener and made it worse by suggesting LIVE. if you want to be introduced to TON one listens to the top two or three songs from the studio albums.
If you were going to review this song live, then it should have been from the Bizzare festival. Anyways, I’ve been a huge fan since ‘96 and are friends with the drummer, Johnny. This was definitely the wrong song to introduce your wife to 🤣

I've noticed on many of the live shows they play them faster. They also did the songs different than the album versions a lot.
