Wise Guys is what I use everyday. It will strip off old silicone based dressings that have been on the tires for months or years. I use it diluted 1:1 so I can work fast and move on to other parts of the detail.

Wise guy used to knock down and prep tires for dressing! Back in the day wasn’t for wheels only tires/ APC

Thanks for the review, Austin. Never heard of this product before, but it might be worth a try next time I'm out of my go-to Brake Buster. I've got a lot of that stuff though, so it may be a while!

Brake Buster is good too! This is for sure a lot stronger but doesn’t have the rust inhibitors

Brake Buster is crap. Nobody has said good things about it.
Best two brake cleaners are Wise Guy by Shine Supply and Red7 by Autosmart.

I use Wise Guy diluted 1:1 in my business. I get lots of neglected cars that haven’t had their tires cleaned in a few years. It’s the best tire cleaner I’ve found and certainly a much stronger cleaner than the popular Brake Buster.
