Loved her performance here, it really suited her tone. This performance earned her equal 1st place this round. :) I wouldn't take the voting too seriously though, some votes were ludicrous. This show seems more for fun than to try and find a winner. Although after the second week it could appear the voting is done to give everyone an equal chance at a win. We'll see how it all pans out.

Diana managed to impress the other contestants enough to share the first place of this round with another contestant. This time it should have been the category Russian Folk Song for her. It's a song about a well known Cossack, maybe even part of an opera about him. My honest impression is that Diana did really very well here but that the song didn't allow her to really go all out on showcasing her vocal capabilities. There were a few deeper notes but the rest of the song she sung more or less in her vocal mid range. She's able to bring out an impressive strength there.

Loved her performance here, it really suited her tone. This performance earned her equal 1st place this round. :)
I wouldn't take the voting too seriously though, some votes were ludicrous. This show seems more for fun than to try and find a winner. Although after the second week it could appear the voting is done to give everyone an equal chance at a win. We'll see how it all pans out.

This song is known in 10-12 countries of the former Soviet Union, I heard it in Chinese, it was sung at some holiday in Beijing. Russian Russian and my friends in Africa say that - in 1846, a unit of 58 Russians decided not to retreat, and not to surrender, but to defend the fortification, and the Russians, preparing for a decisive battle, sang this song. (Then all 58 people died, but they took more than 250 enemies with them to the grave, and detained the attackers for almost 10 days)
In this song is the history of Russia. The Swedish king attacked from the north, Prussia and the Lithuanian-Polish Principality attacked from the west. The whole country is at war, Russia has been attacked by 2 great powers. France pays money to the Ottoman Empire to start a war from the east.

Степан Разин, донской казак, был предводителем крупнейшего крестьянского восстания против царских войск в Vll веке. Имеется в виду, что человек вчера - не вчера, как - то, не спал почти и наконец уснул ненадолго, ( малым - мало спалось). И ему приснился этот самый сон, как ветер срывает с головы шапку, что означает - потеряет голову. Этот сон, по преданию, предрек Степану Разину его поражение и гибель. Так и случилось. Восстание было подавлено, Степан Разин казнён .

She tied for first this episode. She started with a win in the first show then last in the second now tied for first.
Diana managed to impress the other contestants enough to share the first place of this round with another contestant. This time it should have been the category Russian Folk Song for her. It's a song about a well known Cossack, maybe even part of an opera about him.
My honest impression is that Diana did really very well here but that the song didn't allow her to really go all out on showcasing her vocal capabilities. There were a few deeper notes but the rest of the song she sung more or less in her vocal mid range. She's able to bring out an impressive strength there.
