A charity is still a charity. To think that one charity is more important than the other sounds really ignorant imo. The point of charity is to help those that are struggling and need help. Every organisation that the queen represents, there are many strugglers that need it. Animal lives is important too
@@bosoudang Yeah we know that, but you got to keep in mind that Drag Race is a TV show, thus it has to appeal to the audience, which is, in it's big majority, queer people, so chances are production will do all they can to give the money to one of the charities that hit closer to it's general audience. It's sad, but I think for this reason, Plastique, and Vanjie (and Shannel, Angeria and Jorgeous too, to some extent) aren't really contenders for the crown.

I’d move Plastique to 3rd and Angeria to 2nd. It definitely feels like a Roxxxy vs. Angeria type of showdown at the end since that’s been the main story line this season. My biggest thing against Plastique being 2nd is that she is basically non-existent in the edit. She’s doing well in the challenges but her screen time/confessional time is straight up abysmal compared to Roxxxy and Angeria. I can definitely see the top 4 being Vanjie, Plastique, Angeria, and Roxxxy tho.
I agree. Plastique’s chances of winning have little to do with her performance at this point - she’s performing beautifully. We are at the halfway point, and what is going ru determine her ultimate placement is what the editors decide to do with her in the second half. I truly did not even realize how many challenges she had won just because the editors are doing so little with her. Seriously, how does one queen win a full HALF of the challenges and yet remain practically unseen in the edit. It’s weird.
If Plastique wins, it'll be wild to have two queens in a row win All Stars who keep bombing lip syncs (to be generous about this week, being outshined). It's not everything but it has to be something. Hell, Sapphira, a great lip syncer, didn't bring it the way Nymphia did.
If you look at how RuPaul is talking to Angeria, I think it's pretty obvious she is gonna win. He's said he's proud of her, and that she is soooo funny and unique
SPOILERS. Queens that make it to the finale and how many batches. Angeria : 6 batches wins lalaparuza earning her 3 batches in one episode. Roxy: 5 batches, wins comedy challenge with two batches towards the end Vangie: 4 batches, wins same challenge as Roxy wins two batches in one episode. Plastique: sadly she doesn’t make it to the finally. Ends up with 3 batches
Roxxxy is an obvious winner. She doesn't have to do much and still will somehow win. The way she was the best/second best once and has the same amount of badges as Plastique (who easily could have had 5 badges by now) is not even funny. I hope Miss Thick and Juicy steps up and does better in the next episodes, so it will seem fair at least a bit. If U gonna get favoured do at least good enough like Shea and Jimbo.
I feel like Nina should be higher than this - though I agree she is unlikely to win, she is significantly more likely than at least two other queens. Vangie is not going to win. Her chaotic persona is funny, sure, but she lacks the professionalism that Ru demands. That’s before we even get into charities… production is not going to give $200k to a very worthy charity that has nothing at all to do with serving the LGBTQIA community. They’re just jot giving that money to the ASPCA, period. I think Nina also has a better chance than Jorgeous. There is something to be said for how a queen - specifically a young, up and coming ingénue - carries herself. Ru loves to reward an accomplished young queen, but they must show more maturity and be more accomplished than what Jorgeous is. She still strikes me as a child drag queen, sorry not sorry, and the other queens see her the same. If Gottmik was a frontrunner, the fact that her roast has been undeniably proven to have been stolen is just too large a hill to climb. She didn’t only lift 90% of her jokes from the same performer - they came from the performance. The last joke aired is so famously quoted from Lisa Lampaneli that I am SHOCKED no one called her on it during the show. Michelle knows that joke, there’s no way she doesn’t. I forgot Shannel was there, so that really says something… But anyway, I feel like *right now* it’s either Roxxy or Angeria’s crown to lose. I am interested, now that we are at the half way point, how the edit is going to move forward with Plastique having quietly and cunningly collected so many badges. What is most stacked against Plastique in this moment is her utter lack of a storyline and the other queens outright dismissal of Plastique as a threat from the outset. She has been winning badges and no one really seemed to notice she was doing it - and even now that they do realize it, Angie still doesn’t see her as competition and elected to snip Mik back out of pettiness rather than the only queen with 4 badges… that’s potentially $200k of pettiness. So the game may well be Plastiques, but will be heavily dependent on her second half edit, whether she continues to rack up the badges or not. She can keep getting pinned, but if they have no storyline for her then Plastique simply will not be crowned. I forget what her charity is too, but that’s kind of on me. I’m pretty sure it’s one that wouldn’t preclude her from winning the $200k in the same way that Vangie’s ASPCA choice has blocked her. TL;DR: Nina’s a long shot, but hardly last place. Imma go google wtf Nina has gotten herself into with Amy Shumer.

@@tyagohiee the thing is, even if she gets blocked, it doesn’t matter that much. Roxxxy and Angeria have both gotten blocked twice so far and it hasn’t affected them and they’re still frontrunners. Now it might affect Gottmik next episode since it is a design challenge and she can’t get a badge. But so far, the snippers have only been a source of drama and haven’t impacted the competition.

Just think back to episode 2, if Plastique had won that lipsync, she would've probably blocked Angeria, which would've led to Angeria blocking her on this week's episode, and her not being able to get a badge on a design challenge. Keep in mind the fact that this season's blocks have been more out of spite and rivalry than strategy, which Plastique knows, and doesn't want to get on anyone's bad side.

If you follow Plastique’s strategy, the 3 badge girls(Roxxxy, Angeria, and Plastique should how form an alliance and block all the 2 badge girls from getting their third badge, thus guaranteeing those 3 make the finals. If that happened you’d probably see Angeria and Roxxxy battle for the crown. Plastique has already secured the most beautiful drag queen ever title. Plastique’s make up and runway looks have no equal.
So here’s my theory. When production crowns a queen they are retroactively adding credibility to the season the crowned queen originally comes from. This is important because all of the seasons get put up on P+ eventually. Remember a lot of people weren’t vibing with S9 when it was airing but over time as trinity and Shea got their own crowns it got people to see season 9 in a new light and it likely gets streamed way more often than some of the other seasons as well. Why does this matter? I could see production wanting to add some more credibility to season 14 by crowning Angeria. Especially since there are a few queens from 14 rumored to be on the next season. Remember Roxxxy is a drag race legend without the crown and whether or not it’s fair I think production takes that into consideration.
I think the clear top 4 at this point is going to be Roxxxy, Plastique, Angeria, and Gottmik. Of the 4 of them, Plastique and Roxxxy have the most badges so far, but the difference is that Plastique actually earned all of her badges by winning challenges, while Roxxxy was gifted 1 for free. And you could even make a case that Plastique and Jorgeous should've deserved the Makeover Challenge win... which would have put Plastique at 4 badges and Roxxxy at 1 badge (not including her free badge). Plastique also has the best redemption story of all the queens - out of the cast, she is the one that has shown the most growth and improvement in the skills that she was lacking on her original season, which was comedy, improv, and acting. With the exception of Snatch Game, she did well in the comedy challenges so far (Roast and Commercial) and she did surprisingly well in the scripted acting challenge with Ru. She's also the clear runway queen of the season, and is the most talked about on social media (in a positive way). So far, she's also the only queen in my predicted top 4 that has won a grant total of ZERO dollars for her charity, the Asian-American Foundation, because she keeps losing her lipsyncs LOL. But that sets her up for a great storyline and season arc - if she's able to pull through in the lipsyncs in the finale, the queen that won no money for her charity throughout the season would win the most money at the end. It would also soften the blow for the others in the top 4, since Angeria and Gottmik for example have won over $20,000 for their charities already.
It would’ve been amazing, and I think Shannel really could’ve shined with a different cast. She’s been good not great at everything, so she’s been screwed a lot by this format
I want vanjie to win tbh. She seems so above the drama and I live. Her runways also aren’t super good but are no where near bad. She somehow always turns a runway into a slutty runway. I wouldn’t mind if she beat out plastic Angie or roxxxy in top 3. And subsequently winning.
For me it’s, 8th Shannel, 7th Nina, 6 Vanjee, 5 Jorgeous, 4 GottMik, 3 Plastique, 2 Angeria, 1 Roxxxy. The only thing in this video I really disagree with is Vanjee. So far, she only has 1 win and 2 stars. That win was debatable too. Vanjee may be my favorite this season, but I couldn’t see her winning. Great video!
I definitely understand that perspective, but I do see the value in it since the queens have to have careers afterwards. Crowning a winner that is extremely controversial will result in massive hate
It also reflects on which queens have the most starpower. If you’re crowning a drag superstar, not only should you be amazing at most aspects of drag race, but you should also stick out, be charismatic and likable which would naturally draw in a lot of fan support.
What if there's a tie b/w roxxxy and angeria, cause plastique is not winning the lip sync for the crown and angeria n roxxxy are very good lip syncers.

Like we have seen with Angeria and Roxxxy, winning a challenge could turn the fan base or the other queens against you. This is only season that punishes the queen that wins each week. But I do think if Plastique was to dominate the final lip sync, production would refuse to crown her and would crown the other queen instead smh

The only reason why they are pushing Roxxxy is so they could have a queen for the fanbase to root against. They are trying to create a pseudo villain without giving her the "villain edit" like they did with Jan on AS6. I think this season possibly be more controversial than AS7.

I really like the idea of a “Roxxxy vs. Angie” finale where we could have the “more villainous” of the two winning. It’s be a nice subversion of that DR trope.
I love Angeria and always will, but I feel like she's getting the Winner edit too soon and it's making me lose interest in the season because we all know she is going to win. Kinda lime as8 where all the roads lead to Jimbo, this season all roads lead to Angeria. It makes the season boring. But love Angeria and Inwish her all the good things once she wins.
In my opinion Vanjie has performed better then roxxxy this season Vanjie first of all can do acting and improv even though she does play herself a lot other queens do it to for example Angeria always seems to play a character close to herself along with Nina west Vanjie can also perform, lipsync and dance she is easily tied second with plastique for the best lipsyncer behind Jorgeous Her runways are getting better as we go through the season, her last 2 runways have shown the budget and if she continues I see no reason why she is weak in the runway department And then we get to her weakest quality which is design challenges which she isn’t really bad at, she just doesn’t shine but then again if we look back to season 11 episode 1 she was easily one of the best for that design challenge. So in my opinion she and Angeria are tied for second for talent this season with plastique being 1st

Exactly. The makeover win is so controversial and subjective. And the advert win was more because Plastique was her partner. Ironically, Roxxxy only won the 2 "group" challenges, not something like design or snatch game or the roast, where it's your responsibility to shine on your own. As much as I want Roxxxy to succeed and even see her make it to the last episode, we've gone through half the season, and like you said, nothing memorable, so it's hard to justify her winning the season. For me, Angeria is the clear winner. But it worries me that editors left in "delusional" aspects(?) of Angeria, even though as viewers, it's easy to see if anything, the other girls are just scared since Angeria is one of the only well-rounded queens and they are trying to diminish her. She was blocked 2 times in the first 4 episodes... more like first 3 episodes since the first episode she wasn't available to be blocked since she won. I that doesn't prove the girls are threatened, idk what does.
I respect Nina for what she does for the LGBTQ+ community at large. However, I wish she had put some more thought and effort in her runways this season, and in improving her designing/sewing abilities. Her looks were the biggest thing holding her back on Season 11, and you would think she would come with a better runway package for All Stars 9 so she could actually have a redemption. But she feels almost the exact same queen as Season 11 Nina.
In my opinion, Angeria is most likely to win because I feel like they are pushing the Angeria v Roxxxy thing and I think they’ll make Angeria the “hero” and Roxxxy the “villain.” I am rooting for Angeria because she is super talented in a lot of different ways.

i feel like as of now, production wanted to see fan reception of basically our guaranteed top 3 (roxxxy, angeria, plastique), give another win to who they might not let win the season (roxxxy) and then put it up to the fan favorite of the next two (honestly at this point an even playing field) keep in mind, i’m pretty sure drag race has never given the crown to someone who has won over 4 maxi challenges (for example, nymphia winning over sapphira 3 vs 4 maxi challenge wins, i believe same with jaida essence hall and gigi goode, too lazy to list them all rn), and that might be the reason for why they are doing the badge giveaway now (specifically doing it later in the season) so they can keep with that, so i guess ru is right when she says it’s anyone’s game but only if they play it right and don’t win too much. still think nina and jorgeous have 0 chance, shannel has been getting hero edit past few episodes and jumping up, gottmik has low chances, and vanjie might be about the same level as shannel currently but only if she wins another challenge or gets given more badges.

i think sometimes as fans, we get too invested in storylines production is trying to push. i truly do not believe they’re intentionally trying to get Shannel to have another outburst or face crack like you said in this video, she’s doing well but every week, there have been at least two queens that did better in both the runways and the challenges. she’s doing great and would probably have two wins if it wasn’t for such a stacked cast this season. also production really doesn’t need to push narratives this season, the drama with snipping contestants is already making the season way more dramatic and entertaining then it has any right to be.
I sincerely think Plastique is just throwing these lip syncs just enough for us to see she is still trying, doing so in favor of saving what she wants to showcase for the finale.

Roxxxy is an obvious winner. She doesn't have to do much and still will somehow win. The way she was the best/second best once and has the same amount of badges as Plastique (who easily could have had 5 badges by now) is not even funny. I hope Miss Thick and Juicy steps up and does better in the next episodes, so it will seem fair at least a bit. If U gonna get favoured do at least good enough like Shea and Jimbo.

I feel like Nina should be higher than this - though I agree she is unlikely to win, she is significantly more likely than at least two other queens.
Vangie is not going to win. Her chaotic persona is funny, sure, but she lacks the professionalism that Ru demands. That’s before we even get into charities… production is not going to give $200k to a very worthy charity that has nothing at all to do with serving the LGBTQIA community. They’re just jot giving that money to the ASPCA, period.
I think Nina also has a better chance than Jorgeous. There is something to be said for how a queen - specifically a young, up and coming ingénue - carries herself. Ru loves to reward an accomplished young queen, but they must show more maturity and be more accomplished than what Jorgeous is. She still strikes me as a child drag queen, sorry not sorry, and the other queens see her the same.
If Gottmik was a frontrunner, the fact that her roast has been undeniably proven to have been stolen is just too large a hill to climb. She didn’t only lift 90% of her jokes from the same performer - they came from the performance. The last joke aired is so famously quoted from Lisa Lampaneli that I am SHOCKED no one called her on it during the show. Michelle knows that joke, there’s no way she doesn’t.
I forgot Shannel was there, so that really says something…
But anyway, I feel like *right now* it’s either Roxxy or Angeria’s crown to lose. I am interested, now that we are at the half way point, how the edit is going to move forward with Plastique having quietly and cunningly collected so many badges. What is most stacked against Plastique in this moment is her utter lack of a storyline and the other queens outright dismissal of Plastique as a threat from the outset. She has been winning badges and no one really seemed to notice she was doing it - and even now that they do realize it, Angie still doesn’t see her as competition and elected to snip Mik back out of pettiness rather than the only queen with 4 badges… that’s potentially $200k of pettiness. So the game may well be Plastiques, but will be heavily dependent on her second half edit, whether she continues to rack up the badges or not. She can keep getting pinned, but if they have no storyline for her then Plastique simply will not be crowned. I forget what her charity is too, but that’s kind of on me. I’m pretty sure it’s one that wouldn’t preclude her from winning the $200k in the same way that Vangie’s ASPCA choice has blocked her.
TL;DR: Nina’s a long shot, but hardly last place.

@@tyagohiee the thing is, even if she gets blocked, it doesn’t matter that much. Roxxxy and Angeria have both gotten blocked twice so far and it hasn’t affected them and they’re still frontrunners. Now it might affect Gottmik next episode since it is a design challenge and she can’t get a badge. But so far, the snippers have only been a source of drama and haven’t impacted the competition.

Just think back to episode 2, if Plastique had won that lipsync, she would've probably blocked Angeria, which would've led to Angeria blocking her on this week's episode, and her not being able to get a badge on a design challenge. Keep in mind the fact that this season's blocks have been more out of spite and rivalry than strategy, which Plastique knows, and doesn't want to get on anyone's bad side.

If you follow Plastique’s strategy, the 3 badge girls(Roxxxy, Angeria, and Plastique should how form an alliance and block all the 2 badge girls from getting their third badge, thus guaranteeing those 3 make the finals. If that happened you’d probably see Angeria and Roxxxy battle for the crown. Plastique has already secured the most beautiful drag queen ever title. Plastique’s make up and runway looks have no equal.

So here’s my theory. When production crowns a queen they are retroactively adding credibility to the season the crowned queen originally comes from. This is important because all of the seasons get put up on P+ eventually. Remember a lot of people weren’t vibing with S9 when it was airing but over time as trinity and Shea got their own crowns it got people to see season 9 in a new light and it likely gets streamed way more often than some of the other seasons as well. Why does this matter? I could see production wanting to add some more credibility to season 14 by crowning Angeria. Especially since there are a few queens from 14 rumored to be on the next season. Remember Roxxxy is a drag race legend without the crown and whether or not it’s fair I think production takes that into consideration.
I think the clear top 4 at this point is going to be Roxxxy, Plastique, Angeria, and Gottmik. Of the 4 of them, Plastique and Roxxxy have the most badges so far, but the difference is that Plastique actually earned all of her badges by winning challenges, while Roxxxy was gifted 1 for free. And you could even make a case that Plastique and Jorgeous should've deserved the Makeover Challenge win... which would have put Plastique at 4 badges and Roxxxy at 1 badge (not including her free badge).
Plastique also has the best redemption story of all the queens - out of the cast, she is the one that has shown the most growth and improvement in the skills that she was lacking on her original season, which was comedy, improv, and acting. With the exception of Snatch Game, she did well in the comedy challenges so far (Roast and Commercial) and she did surprisingly well in the scripted acting challenge with Ru. She's also the clear runway queen of the season, and is the most talked about on social media (in a positive way).
So far, she's also the only queen in my predicted top 4 that has won a grant total of ZERO dollars for her charity, the Asian-American Foundation, because she keeps losing her lipsyncs LOL. But that sets her up for a great storyline and season arc - if she's able to pull through in the lipsyncs in the finale, the queen that won no money for her charity throughout the season would win the most money at the end. It would also soften the blow for the others in the top 4, since Angeria and Gottmik for example have won over $20,000 for their charities already.
Really really really upset that Shannel doesn’t have a good chance to win cause imagine how iconic it would be to have a second winner from season 1

I want vanjie to win tbh. She seems so above the drama and I live. Her runways also aren’t super good but are no where near bad. She somehow always turns a runway into a slutty runway. I wouldn’t mind if she beat out plastic Angie or roxxxy in top 3. And subsequently winning.
For me it’s, 8th Shannel, 7th Nina, 6 Vanjee, 5 Jorgeous, 4 GottMik, 3 Plastique, 2 Angeria, 1 Roxxxy. The only thing in this video I really disagree with is Vanjee. So far, she only has 1 win and 2 stars. That win was debatable too. Vanjee may be my favorite this season, but I couldn’t see her winning. Great video!

It also reflects on which queens have the most starpower. If you’re crowning a drag superstar, not only should you be amazing at most aspects of drag race, but you should also stick out, be charismatic and likable which would naturally draw in a lot of fan support.

Like we have seen with Angeria and Roxxxy, winning a challenge could turn the fan base or the other queens against you. This is only season that punishes the queen that wins each week. But I do think if Plastique was to dominate the final lip sync, production would refuse to crown her and would crown the other queen instead smh

The only reason why they are pushing Roxxxy is so they could have a queen for the fanbase to root against. They are trying to create a pseudo villain without giving her the "villain edit" like they did with Jan on AS6. I think this season possibly be more controversial than AS7.

I feel like Angeria has gotten an underdog edit because the queens are saying she's delusional, and they are asking her why would she change her clothing for the lipsync after getting great critiques. The audience can see how the queens and production are treating her, and that can possibly give her the crown over Roxxxy at the end due to the fan support.

I love Angeria and always will, but I feel like she's getting the Winner edit too soon and it's making me lose interest in the season because we all know she is going to win. Kinda lime as8 where all the roads lead to Jimbo, this season all roads lead to Angeria. It makes the season boring. But love Angeria and Inwish her all the good things once she wins.
Roxxxy really treated Angeria the same way she treated Jinkx. I don't really think she's changed. I don't want her to win.
In my opinion Vanjie has performed better then roxxxy this season
Vanjie first of all can do acting and improv even though she does play herself a lot other queens do it to for example Angeria always seems to play a character close to herself along with Nina west
Vanjie can also perform, lipsync and dance she is easily tied second with plastique for the best lipsyncer behind Jorgeous
Her runways are getting better as we go through the season, her last 2 runways have shown the budget and if she continues I see no reason why she is weak in the runway department
And then we get to her weakest quality which is design challenges which she isn’t really bad at, she just doesn’t shine but then again if we look back to season 11 episode 1 she was easily one of the best for that design challenge.
So in my opinion she and Angeria are tied for second for talent this season with plastique being 1st

Exactly. The makeover win is so controversial and subjective. And the advert win was more because Plastique was her partner. Ironically, Roxxxy only won the 2 "group" challenges, not something like design or snatch game or the roast, where it's your responsibility to shine on your own. As much as I want Roxxxy to succeed and even see her make it to the last episode, we've gone through half the season, and like you said, nothing memorable, so it's hard to justify her winning the season.
For me, Angeria is the clear winner. But it worries me that editors left in "delusional" aspects(?) of Angeria, even though as viewers, it's easy to see if anything, the other girls are just scared since Angeria is one of the only well-rounded queens and they are trying to diminish her. She was blocked 2 times in the first 4 episodes... more like first 3 episodes since the first episode she wasn't available to be blocked since she won. I that doesn't prove the girls are threatened, idk what does.
Well, I’d be a tad disappointed if Roxxxy was to win; it’d be like rewarding poor behavior…and on a charity season?
I respect Nina for what she does for the LGBTQ+ community at large. However, I wish she had put some more thought and effort in her runways this season, and in improving her designing/sewing abilities. Her looks were the biggest thing holding her back on Season 11, and you would think she would come with a better runway package for All Stars 9 so she could actually have a redemption. But she feels almost the exact same queen as Season 11 Nina.

keep in mind, i’m pretty sure drag race has never given the crown to someone who has won over 4 maxi challenges (for example, nymphia winning over sapphira 3 vs 4 maxi challenge wins, i believe same with jaida essence hall and gigi goode, too lazy to list them all rn), and that might be the reason for why they are doing the badge giveaway now (specifically doing it later in the season) so they can keep with that, so i guess ru is right when she says it’s anyone’s game but only if they play it right and don’t win too much. still think nina and jorgeous have 0 chance, shannel has been getting hero edit past few episodes and jumping up, gottmik has low chances, and vanjie might be about the same level as shannel currently but only if she wins another challenge or gets given more badges.

i think sometimes as fans, we get too invested in storylines production is trying to push. i truly do not believe they’re intentionally trying to get Shannel to have another outburst or face crack like you said in this video, she’s doing well but every week, there have been at least two queens that did better in both the runways and the challenges. she’s doing great and would probably have two wins if it wasn’t for such a stacked cast this season. also production really doesn’t need to push narratives this season, the drama with snipping contestants is already making the season way more dramatic and entertaining then it has any right to be.
I sincerely think Plastique is just throwing these lip syncs just enough for us to see she is still trying, doing so in favor of saving what she wants to showcase for the finale.
The reality is that whoever wins will be instantly vilified by the online fans as their favorite was not chosen. The show is what it is lighthearted Hokum that is an escape from everyday problems
