    Hmm. Not seen mention of this stall on any other vlogs. Nice to see they are open late - I can see me going there for supper a time or two when I'm over. 133 bus takes me right from the hotel almost to the door of the stall. I really like the look of the vinegar pig's trotter, but it all looks really yummy.

    Hi Greg, my favourite is still Koh's Brother which used to be at the old Tiong Bahru market (the run down one).
    They are still operating at current Tiong Bahru market but by the second gen already.
    Give it a try... although I still feel it taste better in the older days .

    Aww the first shop that you mentioned is my local... Normally go there for duck noodles and the roast pork rice. It's actually pretty good. His noodles are good. Damn, now I feel like walking down to get some!

    One of my fav go to places for pig organ soup definitely. Also shoutout to another teochew pig organ soup stall at Jalan Kukoh Food Centre, #01-11, which I find is nicer than this jalan besar one, less queue/crowd also because of the pretty secluded location.

    My first time trying this soup was in mid 90’s.
    I immediately hooked on it and would drive down to dabao so many pkt for all my colleague during lunchtime. Back then they do not have so many stuff on their menu. The pig blood is to die for.
    Over the years I tried it many time and not convinced they’re the same anymore.
    I think they tried to franchise the name and I went around many stall including the old circuit road one it doesn’t have the same taste anymore.
    Only thing which is close is the chilli. Still as nice as ever.

    • @GregoryLeow
      @GregoryLeow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      According to the owners, the current stalls that have similar sounding names are not franchises but competitors trying to capitalise on their name. 🤷‍♂️

    This is the only pig organ soup that i eat in Singapore. Their chili, some ten years ago, used to be extremely spicy. I guessed they toned the spicy level to accommodate the mass majority.

    I used to frequent this outlet but change to the outlet at Sam Leong's as it has had a huge improvement over the years. Personally I find the forch road outlet one is overpowering with herbal taste, whereas the sam leong outlet is quite balanced.

    this stall was my no.1 until i tried the Sam Leong street one Zheng Zheng wen ji (Additional one Zheng, heard from taxi drivers this stall is the original who sold to current then add additional Zheng to continue selling. ). their soup and ingredients tasted more premium and better. this stall refilled soup aint taste as good as the first offered probably due to no zhu gan, unlike the same leong one even refill taste same great. overall sam leong one is better than this foch road one but this stall the salted fish meat cake is must get to go with the soup and rice. however i still patron this stall, but salt fish meat cake is a confirmed order together with the soup.

    • @kennethgan78
      @kennethgan78 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why Sam Leong one my no.1, apart from the ingredients taste more premium and soup tastier. After you tried the Zhu Gan cook to la perfection, feng neng feng neng you know new found love and winner is born. Also very nice to go with rice is the claypot zhuGan, very flavourful but dont expect the soup zhugan standard as it was claypot. V good to go with rice, but not a must order. An advice if ever tabao please dont add zhugan in it. For flavor ok, but dont eat it as it will v hard. No point to add something to throw away. 🙏🏼🍻🍻🍻

    Personally, Sam Leong Road's Cheng MK is better. 1. The lean pork slices here are usually overcooked cos they are left in the boiling pot for too long whereas at SLR, they are tender cos they only cook it upon placement of order. 2. Here, they pour the entire pail of salted vege water (which the Vege was soaked in) into the boiling pot during their prep, making the salted veg taste in the soup, a tad too overpowering, whereas the soup at SLR is more balanced.

    Is all the food video showing being organic food?
    Are the video encouraging people to eat organic food?
    Based on the price of organic ingredient, the organic food is tasteless and not much sweetness and flavor.
    Should use more approved industrial food chemical to enhance the taste and flavor of organic food.
    Can eat more things into the body.
