Huge fun, not dangerously fast, and you could go out and buy one of these cars locally. Why, oh why do the WRC rules not encourage r.w.d. cars like this instead of the absurdly fast, silhouette kit-cars that bear no resemblance beneath the skin to what you can buy and run every day on the road?
Because keeping a car you’d want to race as is would put you at a disadvantage. Manufacturers were and always are willing to sacrifice the “resemblance” of race cars to street cars if it meant winning. Even if they overloaded the said car with race-prepped shit from the factory, it probably wouldn’t be deemed street-legal in the first place. Take the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon for example.

Watching and hearing this is one thing... If you can smell this video, you are as much of a legend as these were, back in their day. E30 all the way!
