I really like Up & Down. It's fun and really well made, but this is not going to be my favorite album musically. I'm old enough that I remember the sample/references in the song, so first listen I couldn't focus beyond the flashbacks they triggered. 😂 My mind is blown by how well he executed the album concepts.💸 Empty is by far my favorite track, but I lean r&b over hip-hop, so no surprise there. I predict long-term most of the songs won't be in everyday rotation, but that's what I thought about some of Yesungs' more recent albums and I was completely wrong. I'm just overall happy for him and feel very proud. People nostalgic for that 90s-early 2000s hip-hop have a top-tier album. 💙
