@@kashgrab7168 Cheaters can 100 percent affect other players. I loaded into the game as a killer and I was running pop, whispers, surge, and bbq. When the match started I did a look around the map and notice I had 5 lit totems.... I reported the only player that sought me out right away and she ended up getting banned. The cheater gave me a full totem load out on top of my perks. I D/Ced and reported because I didn't want to run the risk of her trying to get the team to report me.
It's really bad recently, especially subtle ones that make you question your sanity. However the ones that use the server crash exploit to end the match when they're losing are by far the worst. You lose out on your offerings, add-ons, and bloodpoints too!
That may be for the worst one of all because it seems like the company or people who you subscribe to and the network that you play on don't have any power I'm paying subscription monthly or maybe even in advance for a year and we can't even stop a person from crashing the network like how is this still a thing though
I had this happen on a really good Wesker match that I came back from a loss. Then all of sudden (over a gig Wi-Fi) I crashed to the chat screen. Wi-Fi was still good on my phone streaming music, the tv in the living room, etc.
One of many reasons why BHVR will never add a replay feature (lol, like they are even physically able to do something so technically difficult in the first place). Because if they add replay, there will be a lot more attention brought to cheaters who attempt to cheat in a subtle way or just use wallhacks at loops. And devs do not want to actually deal with cheaters and improve anything, so it's better to keep people ignorant about the issue.

Bot control is one of their relatively new cheats. The Sable most likely is with the Feng. She likely DC'd to give her friend a bot to hold the game hostage (the actual definition of holding the game hostage; not what ppl think counts as holding the game hostage). It's happened to me a few times (I don't even stream anymore, so I don't know why they bother with me). Fortunately, the match does end after 5 minutes. So, it's not as bad as it used to be. I still think the overall match should end after 30 minutes from the start of the match (no DbD match should ever take longer than 30 minutes). But that also involves more issues than just cheaters.
@@redelfshotthefood8213 They've got it set to end the match 1 hour after the match starts. The 5 minute end is only a failsafe after the end of match fails (do to cheats). And that 5 minute failsafe was only added recently. Shit the end of match before they added the failsafe used to be after 2 hours. It was hell. Cheaters could really hold ppl hostage.
the only way the match would take over 30 minutes without cheats is if the survivors were not dfoing any gens at all and the killer was standing in a corner
@ Another possibility is the last 2 survivors hiding too well (and moving just enough to prevent the crows) while Killer patrols looking for them on one of this game's massive maps. I've had a match like that last for 2 hours back when that was how long the auto-end took to happen (it is now 1 hour, which is still too long). Now, were they cheating, I not sure. It is possible they teleported outside the map or used other subtle cheats. Without seeing them use obvious cheats there is no way to know for sure. Edit: And if they could cheat. They could've prevented me from getting any Kills; or even any hooks. Yet, they did not.
Makes playing killer even more stressful cuz you don't know when there's a subtle cheater and just get confused in lost matches if it was a legit one or not, they are that common...
It ruins both sides. I have reported a ton of killers in the last few weeks for cheating. When you play the game enough, it becomes very obvious when someone is doing TOO well.
@ It's more than you think. There are a ton of killers that I literally thought had BBQ so I was hiding in lockers when it was good to do so, only to find out in the end game they had ZERO aura. The difference between a killer running some aura and zero is very easy to tell. So if someone is playing like they have aura, and they have none, they are cheating.
what do people get out of cheating. it's pretty pathetic. imagine fully admitting to yourself you're just not good enough, and not even trying to get better. these are the people that wonder why they have to work at Wendy's or Dunkin' Donuts when everyone else has good careers and a family. zero sense of accomplishment.

every action in this game is either calculated by your computer or server. The thing is its based on survivors benefit. I’ll explain you. Back in the day ghost face leaning was calculated by your computer which was so fast and easier to lean and stalk survivors but ofc bhvr changed it so server decide you are leaning or not even though you are positioning so well the server most of the time cocks you and says noooope! Unhooking and Hook grabing was something attached to server. They saw that if survivors had bad ping they will be grabbed by killers easily and unhooking takes so long so they changed it that unhooking is now calculated by your computer instead of server but hook grabing was still on server !!! So back in the day before grab remove , you could grab the survivor when they are unhooking and unhook still happens magically 😂😂🤦🏻 for solving this they didnt even bother to use braincells. instead they just remove hook grabing. Theres milions of other examples i can tell you if you want. Killer sided game btw 🤡
So many subtle cheaters now. Most games which leave you with doubt likely have a cheater. I got gaslit by two swf teams but an aura perk showed me them mirroring my movement without being possible and another where someone briefly went speed mode (probably an accident as they didn't know i could see them from roof top). Every now and then you'll get a top mmr game to test you and subtle cheaters are at the top.
There are People actually streaming while using hacks. I've seen it multiple times on tiktok. They can do ANYTHING With the match. Wallhacks, speed, They can even bug a player where they cant move. They stream, Live, put it out there, blatant as it is, and behaviour does nothing
Ive been playing for nearly 3 years and I've never run into a blatant cheater until 3 or 4 weeks ago, and now I've run into at least one per day, sometimes two in a day. What is going on???
The sad part is that you've probably faced cheaters and didn't realize it. It's near impossible to see stuff like wall hacks or 2% extra movement speed unless you're a dbd god
Ran into a blatant speed hacker in July he wasn’t banned until December. Imagine how many new players he faced and bullied causing them to quit the game.
2 stack at least. Thalita just wanted out. Feng obvious. Sable set the bot up in the locker. Steve was lagging like crazy, complete desynchronization with the server. Could be accidental but probably not.
There are many more hidden cheaters in Europe. There are obvious ones too, but much less often. The most interesting thing is that these are basically 4man squads where 1 cheater will teleport to the generators, repairing them 20-30% faster, and the same with heals, the cheater simply teleported to his friend while the killer does not see and that’s all. Before, when there was an old MFT, I could instantly see whether the player had it or not. 3% speed doesn't seem like much, but I can see it right away. And about 60% (+-5%) there is something suspicious in at least one player with speed. Just recently there was Vitorio with the sprint. He used it and when he realized that he was not reaching the pallet... yes, he once again accelerated as if from a sprint. Apparently he forgot that he was exhausted (and he didn’t have a Blood Rush). Again, 4man squads can afford this. If they are burned, then this is only 1 report from one killer. Who should I report? Everyone? If you do this, the account gets a timeout for reports. You can continue to report, but the reports simply will not count. As an example, I remember reporting at least 2x in almost every game, and when I came across an obvious cheater, I reported him, he WAS banned, I checked and I did NOT receive a message about his ban when entering the game because my report simply disappeared into oblivion REMEMBER! If you see any suspicious activity even a little bit. Report. Honest players will not be banned or suspended. Add BHWR work, let them search, let them sniff out the readers. Don't be afraid for others. You don’t have to sit like Otzdarva and rewatch obvious moments over and over again “is it a cheater or not...” just report it and the inspectors will figure it out themselves.
alot of cheats run kernel level nowadays and eac only activates when game is running. Alot of these cheats will never get detected from the AC or devs so reporting is only option. Sad reality until more games go kernel level but people have privacy issues with it( rightfully so). Games like dbd will always have a problem with this sadly.
Ever since Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out I haven't touched DBD since and I'm honestly not regretting it. This game has been infested with these people from the beginning and I am glad I'm not dealing with that nonsense anymore.

@@Lgbtrp3doz the biggest thing with TCM at the moment is the lobbies depending on choosing family vs victims. Takes a bit getting a match as victim waiting for family players to load in but playing family I get matches quick. Xbox disconnect issues are being dealt with in the next monthly patch soon. TCM definitely has more horror and tension feel like a horror movie than I ever had in DBD and I like that tension.
True, I literally was in the official dbd discord playing a swf and one of them was cheating. They are typically sad mf’s who want to ruin ur experience. I left after my only game with them. I called them out and they denied and denied. When a game is competative, i honestly dont understand the cheats.

Another one for me is I'm 100% that people can see what build you run before you get into the lobby.I'm sure they can see what killer their playing against and what perks you have,because it's like their playing against my perks , it seems like they're doing counters toward the perks I'm running it's weird,I'm running haunted grounds n devour hope ?3 out of 4 totems you go exactly for my devour hope like yeah it is chance that a survivor could spawn right on top of it but it's like 3 or 4 minutes in the match and all of a sudden the Devour Hope is gone? I've never really had true confirmation on spine chill and stealth so I don't know if those things actually cancel out each other but if so what's the point of stealth? because that would be my only explanation for A Survivor to move away from a gen if they don't know I'm coming or they have somebody is watching you
True I played against 2 cheaters on RIPD Chaos Shuffle the other day. They were very obviously cheating and didn't even try to hide it. Teleporting through walls, insta-healing, sabo blocking hooks from behind walls, preventing pick ups, and spamming head on repeatedly. I still managed to get a 3k with 2 of them being the cheaters. It's actually embarrassing that these people decide to use cheats on a 4v1 game and still can't win 😂😂 I reported them in the post-match lobby and got a notification later on that evening to say the report had been actioned, but I'm sure they'll be back on a new account.
At least the security feature implemented in Patch 6.3.0 (October 11, 2022) works as intended. "Trials will now be forced to end after 1 hour or 5 minutes after the End Game Collapse has been triggered."

They never left. And when you get one cheater lobby, in my experience, when you get one you usually get a few in a row as they like to snipe/bully ppl. Not to long ago I had 3 lobbies in a row, all with similar playstyle/cheats, so I assume it was the same IP sniper. I wouldn't know how else they would get so easily into the same persons lobby 3x in a row. I'm not even a streamer.
Figuring out if someone is wall hacking or is quicker is actually fairly easy to pick up on if your a veteran player, if there no explanation for it ie perks or items, it’s easy to tell, wall hackers will maintain far too much distance on loops same goes for haste, paler gym not thrown is the easiest way tell catch a wall hacking
At the start I was saying it could be a cheater or it could be a bug. Only reason I thought that is because spooky loopz had a bot break him out of night shroud thru the basement steps with zero line of sight. But this is pretty obvious since they weren't even trying to hide it, they were just ego hacking then rage hacking when you didn't play along. Edit: and yes, cheaters CAN alter legit players clients to make it appear as if they are cheating as well. They can do literally anything once connected to a server. I know because I play on console and I've had a cheater make me jump, turn my beamer into an unlimited insta blind and teleport me to the top of eyrie before.

I say this all the time. Subtle hackers. I main survivor. Killers are using Wallhacks too, they make unmistakable double backs even when they can't see me. I say every 10 games, I might get 1 or 2 killers are for sure cheating subtly. This is a joke, anti cheat software is a total joke. Only for obvious hacks it bans people, now the game is slowly filling with these subtle hackers and I can just tell after so many thousands of hours. I say so often, this game sucks
This is when you get a second computer and switch the input and restart the stream on it. You get to keep playing and they’re stuck sitting in a locker. let them waste their time.
I’ve seen how they do that. Once saw a TikTok live cheater, and what they’d do is place the ghostface’s hitbox right next to them so they can just look over their shoulder with the camera and reveal him even though he wasn’t visually next to them
You know what cheaters are the most annoying? stretched ress and 120 FOV, they don't change anything else, just this 2 things and as a killer, you can't fucking catch'em cause they can see you around every loop without checkspots, and you'll never know
Spotted a more subtle cheater today with flashlight blinds while 180° behind me, took til third time when I was looking at a wall to finally get it. That said only 2 cheat I spotted in a month.
My friend and I came across a speed hacker a few days ago and then last night a few of my friends who were streaming in countered another speed hacker, they dcd once they got hooked though.
Sable didn't leave the cheater disconnected her from the lobby. I have experienced it 3 times in the past month and people on reddit are talking about it too. They can cause the killer and other survivors to DC from the lobby.
Played a subtle cheater, figured they had key or troubleshooter. Im playing scratched mirror meyers, im legit watching them move when i move. proceeds to gaslight me they saw my red stain....behind a wall...on lerays....
imagine if it was like 4 cheaters holding a killer captive the entire game, a good fix would be if the killer could leave through a ladder or crawl down the hatch or something after let's say 15-20 min it activates
these days if they aren't blatantly cheating they either have x-ray or subtle speedhacks (which can get obvious when they are together with other Survivors and are faster than the others or you are able to catch up on the teammates faster than the cheating person) and they have new cheats for bots, f.e. the player themselves dc's but the Bot keeps the cheats (faster gen progression, unlimited haste etc.)
I know ive seen a number that im sure were subtle cheaters. They just feel off. Making pallets they shouldnt, and the particularly dumb speed up to make it like you wont notice theyre as fast as your lunge speed

I do not think they are "back" they've always been around, in different ways. Here I think that Feng just go busted without her willing to, I imagine that thanks to wallhacks she sees throught everything and she may have thought or just don't know (cheaters are bad at the game) that when revealing it triggers killer instinct.

Most of the time someone gets banned on a game like dbd, csgo, arma, or fortnite even. If they are using a good cheat they have to be manually reported and banned. yeah i dont play much but im sure i came across a couple in chaos shuffle doing my tome one was deff a lag switcher and "found" my totem in a rather obsure spot just after i got the 3rd stack of devour(not revealed). another i swear knew my location all the time as they were able to disappear b4 i ran to the gen they were at(as blight) and the last gen popped way to fast, shame the game lacks a match replay. it would make it so easy to prove this shit and report them.

The game should read the telemetry of every player to check if they are cheating. You know something like FLYING and moving faster than normal , everything related to action speed should be checked.

If you have to hack a game and claim you are good then you need to have your accounts banned which they do but they have multiple accounts on stand-by so they need to ban their IP Address accounts linked to their accounts. They need to enforce that in all online multiplayer games.

ghostface can go undetectable. if a survivor is looking at him for a few seconds he will come out of undetectable. the fact that he spawned in and was instantly detected from across the map shows that person was using a reveal cheat that allows them to see the killer at all times through walls. perma wall hack.
When I play dbd around 4 am I run into killers who cheat. They are fsster than normal speeds with no perks to even go that fast, also know where everyone is located from start to finish of the game and which gens to go for from start to finish with no info perks.

I play on ps5 and i quit dbd, not because that i lost matches, i consistely win as killer and survivor (swf) simply because the game itself is stressful and very competitive (removing the fact that this game is casual and does not take to be a serious game) so however nowadays i'm playing more games that have only console platform and pretty fun, like rainbow six,plants vs zombies and overwatch, much more fun than dbd, i would say that after 2021 dbd fall down, this game just gets worse and worse and more stressful

It is possible they teleported outside the map or used other subtle cheats. Without seeing them use obvious cheats there is no way to know for sure.

It ruins both sides. I have reported a ton of killers in the last few weeks for cheating. When you play the game enough, it becomes very obvious when someone is doing TOO well.

@ It's more than you think. There are a ton of killers that I literally thought had BBQ so I was hiding in lockers when it was good to do so, only to find out in the end game they had ZERO aura. The difference between a killer running some aura and zero is very easy to tell. So if someone is playing like they have aura, and they have none, they are cheating.

Some cheaters do it for fun, others are terrible and want to carry themselves to the top with little work and many others want attention and/or stalk someone

every action in this game is either calculated by your computer or server. The thing is its based on survivors benefit. I’ll explain you. Back in the day ghost face leaning was calculated by your computer which was so fast and easier to lean and stalk survivors but ofc bhvr changed it so server decide you are leaning or not even though you are positioning so well the server most of the time cocks you and says noooope! Unhooking and Hook grabing was something attached to server. They saw that if survivors had bad ping they will be grabbed by killers easily and unhooking takes so long so they changed it that unhooking is now calculated by your computer instead of server but hook grabing was still on server !!! So back in the day before grab remove , you could grab the survivor when they are unhooking and unhook still happens magically 😂😂🤦🏻 for solving this they didnt even bother to use braincells. instead they just remove hook grabing. Theres milions of other examples i can tell you if you want.

So many subtle cheaters now. Most games which leave you with doubt likely have a cheater. I got gaslit by two swf teams but an aura perk showed me them mirroring my movement without being possible and another where someone briefly went speed mode (probably an accident as they didn't know i could see them from roof top). Every now and then you'll get a top mmr game to test you and subtle cheaters are at the top.

There are People actually streaming while using hacks. I've seen it multiple times on tiktok. They can do ANYTHING With the match. Wallhacks, speed, They can even bug a player where they cant move. They stream, Live, put it out there, blatant as it is, and behaviour does nothing

The sad part is that you've probably faced cheaters and didn't realize it. It's near impossible to see stuff like wall hacks or 2% extra movement speed unless you're a dbd god

Ran into a blatant speed hacker in July he wasn’t banned until December. Imagine how many new players he faced and bullied causing them to quit the game.
I also fell against a cheater this week, there was no way to hook him and there was lag only near the cheater and I was blinded every 10 seconds
2 stack at least. Thalita just wanted out. Feng obvious. Sable set the bot up in the locker. Steve was lagging like crazy, complete desynchronization with the server. Could be accidental but probably not.
There are many more hidden cheaters in Europe. There are obvious ones too, but much less often. The most interesting thing is that these are basically 4man squads where 1 cheater will teleport to the generators, repairing them 20-30% faster, and the same with heals, the cheater simply teleported to his friend while the killer does not see and that’s all.
Before, when there was an old MFT, I could instantly see whether the player had it or not. 3% speed doesn't seem like much, but I can see it right away. And about 60% (+-5%) there is something suspicious in at least one player with speed. Just recently there was Vitorio with the sprint. He used it and when he realized that he was not reaching the pallet... yes, he once again accelerated as if from a sprint. Apparently he forgot that he was exhausted (and he didn’t have a Blood Rush).
Again, 4man squads can afford this. If they are burned, then this is only 1 report from one killer. Who should I report? Everyone? If you do this, the account gets a timeout for reports. You can continue to report, but the reports simply will not count. As an example, I remember reporting at least 2x in almost every game, and when I came across an obvious cheater, I reported him, he WAS banned, I checked and I did NOT receive a message about his ban when entering the game because my report simply disappeared into oblivion
REMEMBER! If you see any suspicious activity even a little bit. Report. Honest players will not be banned or suspended. Add BHWR work, let them search, let them sniff out the readers. Don't be afraid for others. You don’t have to sit like Otzdarva and rewatch obvious moments over and over again “is it a cheater or not...” just report it and the inspectors will figure it out themselves.
alot of cheats run kernel level nowadays and eac only activates when game is running. Alot of these cheats will never get detected from the AC or devs so reporting is only option. Sad reality until more games go kernel level but people have privacy issues with it( rightfully so). Games like dbd will always have a problem with this sadly.

@@Lgbtrp3doz the biggest thing with TCM at the moment is the lobbies depending on choosing family vs victims. Takes a bit getting a match as victim waiting for family players to load in but playing family I get matches quick. Xbox disconnect issues are being dealt with in the next monthly patch soon. TCM definitely has more horror and tension feel like a horror movie than I ever had in DBD and I like that tension.

Another one for me is I'm 100% that people can see what build you run before you get into the lobby.I'm sure they can see what killer their playing against and what perks you have,because it's like their playing against my perks , it seems like they're doing counters toward the perks I'm running it's weird,I'm running haunted grounds n devour hope ?3 out of 4 totems you go exactly for my devour hope like yeah it is chance that a survivor could spawn right on top of it but it's like 3 or 4 minutes in the match and all of a sudden the Devour Hope is gone? I've never really had true confirmation on spine chill and stealth so I don't know if those things actually cancel out each other but if so what's the point of stealth? because that would be my only explanation for A Survivor to move away from a gen if they don't know I'm coming or they have somebody is watching you
I think the best thing to do is to just not play their games. Alt-tab out of the game and do something else or just DC.
The Modding scene will never disappear on DBD. DBD Devs ensured that themselves when they released the DevKit Version of the game live years ago.
True I played against 2 cheaters on RIPD Chaos Shuffle the other day. They were very obviously cheating and didn't even try to hide it. Teleporting through walls, insta-healing, sabo blocking hooks from behind walls, preventing pick ups, and spamming head on repeatedly. I still managed to get a 3k with 2 of them being the cheaters. It's actually embarrassing that these people decide to use cheats on a 4v1 game and still can't win 😂😂 I reported them in the post-match lobby and got a notification later on that evening to say the report had been actioned, but I'm sure they'll be back on a new account.
At least the security feature implemented in Patch 6.3.0 (October 11, 2022) works as intended.

They never left. And when you get one cheater lobby, in my experience, when you get one you usually get a few in a row as they like to snipe/bully ppl. Not to long ago I had 3 lobbies in a row, all with similar playstyle/cheats, so I assume it was the same IP sniper. I wouldn't know how else they would get so easily into the same persons lobby 3x in a row. I'm not even a streamer.
Figuring out if someone is wall hacking or is quicker is actually fairly easy to pick up on if your a veteran player, if there no explanation for it ie perks or items, it’s easy to tell, wall hackers will maintain far too much distance on loops same goes for haste, paler gym not thrown is the easiest way tell catch a wall hacking
At the start I was saying it could be a cheater or it could be a bug. Only reason I thought that is because spooky loopz had a bot break him out of night shroud thru the basement steps with zero line of sight.
But this is pretty obvious since they weren't even trying to hide it, they were just ego hacking then rage hacking when you didn't play along.
Edit: and yes, cheaters CAN alter legit players clients to make it appear as if they are cheating as well. They can do literally anything once connected to a server. I know because I play on console and I've had a cheater make me jump, turn my beamer into an unlimited insta blind and teleport me to the top of eyrie before.

I say this all the time. Subtle hackers. I main survivor. Killers are using Wallhacks too, they make unmistakable double backs even when they can't see me. I say every 10 games, I might get 1 or 2 killers are for sure cheating subtly. This is a joke, anti cheat software is a total joke. Only for obvious hacks it bans people, now the game is slowly filling with these subtle hackers and I can just tell after so many thousands of hours. I say so often, this game sucks

Spotted a more subtle cheater today with flashlight blinds while 180° behind me, took til third time when I was looking at a wall to finally get it. That said only 2 cheat I spotted in a month.
My friend and I came across a speed hacker a few days ago and then last night a few of my friends who were streaming in countered another speed hacker, they dcd once they got hooked though.
Sable didn't leave the cheater disconnected her from the lobby. I have experienced it 3 times in the past month and people on reddit are talking about it too. They can cause the killer and other survivors to DC from the lobby.

these days if they aren't blatantly cheating they either have x-ray or subtle speedhacks (which can get obvious when they are together with other Survivors and are faster than the others or you are able to catch up on the teammates faster than the cheating person) and they have new cheats for bots, f.e. the player themselves dc's but the Bot keeps the cheats (faster gen progression, unlimited haste etc.)
I know ive seen a number that im sure were subtle cheaters. They just feel off. Making pallets they shouldnt, and the particularly dumb speed up to make it like you wont notice theyre as fast as your lunge speed

Most of the time someone gets banned on a game like dbd, csgo, arma, or fortnite even. If they are using a good cheat they have to be manually reported and banned. yeah i dont play much but im sure i came across a couple in chaos shuffle doing my tome one was deff a lag switcher and "found" my totem in a rather obsure spot just after i got the 3rd stack of devour(not revealed). another i swear knew my location all the time as they were able to disappear b4 i ran to the gen they were at(as blight) and the last gen popped way to fast, shame the game lacks a match replay. it would make it so easy to prove this shit and report them.

The game should read the telemetry of every player to check if they are cheating. You know something like FLYING and moving faster than normal , everything related to action speed should be checked.

If you have to hack a game and claim you are good then you need to have your accounts banned which they do but they have multiple accounts on stand-by so they need to ban their IP Address accounts linked to their accounts. They need to enforce that in all online multiplayer games.

ghostface can go undetectable. if a survivor is looking at him for a few seconds he will come out of undetectable. the fact that he spawned in and was instantly detected from across the map shows that person was using a reveal cheat that allows them to see the killer at all times through walls. perma wall hack.
When I play dbd around 4 am I run into killers who cheat. They are fsster than normal speeds with no perks to even go that fast, also know where everyone is located from start to finish of the game and which gens to go for from start to finish with no info perks.
Cheaters have always been "back". DBD does not hardware ban them anymore since moving to a cheaper EAC. DBD does not care.

I play on ps5 and i quit dbd, not because that i lost matches, i consistely win as killer and survivor (swf) simply because the game itself is stressful and very competitive (removing the fact that this game is casual and does not take to be a serious game) so however nowadays i'm playing more games that have only console platform and pretty fun, like rainbow six,plants vs zombies and overwatch, much more fun than dbd, i would say that after 2021 dbd fall down, this game just gets worse and worse and more stressful
