I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where TH-cam started and this song played. My heart was beating out of my chest and then the room turned white and I felt at peace. My heart slowed down and I survived. Jesus Christ is real people. He saved my life.

My husband and I are in recovery. We were really horrible meth addicts, we physically and emotionally damaged each other to the point that children services came in and took our two boys. That was 2 years ago... When we finally surrendered and gave all of it to God, we got clean, fought hard and our boys were given back to us right before Christmas last year. Despite what everyone thought about us we got them back. We did what everyone thought could not be done, but only by the grace of God. Remember you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

On July 7th my wife was diagnosed with leukemia. She starts treatment with heavy chemo today. I came across this last night in her room while she was out doing a scan. She had an extremely bad evening. I felt it break in there . It broke me too. A friend told me I was going to have to release the outcome to Jesus.
i’m sorry to here about that. definitely praying for healing, and ultimately God’s will to be done in this situation, he gets the glory in everything, even when we may not understand it. keeps us updated here on the situation.

I am reviewing for my board exam which is national exam for me to be able to practice nursing in my country Philippines when I listen to this music it is my first time to hear it and I couldn't help but cry because I am anxious that I may not pass the board exam but what really speak to me is the word " I will make room for you" and the word "your way is better" I do believe that if God will hear my prayers in His most precious ways He will make a way that I could possibly pass my board exam! I honestly hate the song “make room” with a burning passion. It just talks about making room rather than being completely transformed into a new creation by the Holy Spirit of God. It also sings that all religion and tradition is bad. Paul writes that we are continue faithfully in the tradition handed to us and Jesus constantly quoted Scripture. James even says that faith without religion is a lie, double-minded and even demonic. The whole idea of the song Make Room and especially its bridge is all about the faith deconstruction movement.
thanks for your comment Nathan. but it starts with a heart posture of surrender, a willingness to give all of ourselves, a surrender of our will, to follow Jesus, to be used by Holy Spirit.(Luke 9) that's what the song is speaking to. the bridge is speaking to man made methods and systems that we have established in the modern day western church, that give us a false sense of salvation and relational depth with Jesus. religion does not get you into Heaven.
@@jonathyncarter but then that’s not tradition, but just the opposite. It would be false doctrine that contradicts sound tradition. There is no such thing as tradition if it is modern. Religion does not get us into heaven indeed. But religion is the evidence of our salvation, because faith without works is dead. Just as works without faith and repentance is false religion. It is The Holy Spirit who works in us through faith to produce works. Hence, we cannot simply lay down lies and doubts blindfolded. If you know and love the truth, you don’t have to make a conscious decision to lay down lies. Further, doubts are always based in lies. When the truth is revealed, lies naturally go away. No conscious decision needed. It’s The Holy Spirit who works in us. Anything else is actually false religion. Hence, the song seems to contradict itself if you really follow the logic. The song also says “Your way is better” as if tradition, true biblical religion and the way of Jesus are not congruent. The chorus also talks about making room for God to move and not actually for God Himself. In fact, the song says “to do whatever you want to” but then in the chorus it redirects God to only moving in the specific manner of breaking down all tradition and religion.
people make new traditions everyday. it’s wrong as you know to add to and take away from God’s word and that’s a factor of what the song is speaking too. i can’t agree with your point of we don’t have to make a conscious decision to lay down lies, when God created free will. you have to make a conscious decision to recognize lies and doubts, as well as a conscious decision to give those things over to Jesus, it’s an act to renew your mind daily. it’s also very common to do things in the name of God without it being the will of God, which is another point the song speaks to.

They have totally and utterly lost their way through some twisted form of faith/religion. The Holy Spirit is free flowing. I really pray for all out there who have lost the truth, I pray the Holy spirit will guide you to the truth. Jesus is the only way the truth and life. Don’t be bound by religion. Allow the move of the Spirit don’t be fixated on what ought to be done in what way.This is the song the whole world needs, religion must be broken…let’s connect to Jesus in spirit

He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world.” God brought us out of darkness into his light, so that..we would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. my gifting from God, is music, and i am here on earth to do just what 1 Peter 2:9 says with it.
