Halal Food in South Korea

  • Today I give you a walking tour of where to get Halal dishes in South Korea. Halal Middle Eastern restaurants are scattered throughout Seoul, but there is a big concentration of them in Itaewon near the Seoul Central Masjid (mosque). We begin with lunch at Kervan, a Turkish eatery that serves some of the best chicken I've ever had in Korea. Watch the video to see the action unfold!

I'm a food technology university student and it tickles me when read comments about how halal metode slaughtering is more painful or worse.i took a class about meat, chicken, and fish handling and we being taught how to slaughter animal (we used chicken as a sample).when we used halal metode, the chicken's flesh more white and fresh comparing used the common slaughter.when we used the common slaughter the flesh more on the blue side and the blood from the chicken didn't all came out from the chicken.the chicken didn't gave much reaction of painful too when using halal metode '-'
so please before you're stating some statement, search it first. i'm not saying that which side is better, but to think some people judge something based religion is totally ignorant.
There is no religion that is bad,its back on people's action.
love and peace to the diversity of race, religion, etnic, etc 😊😊😊

The sound of the adhaan in the masjid brought tears to me eyes. I'm Muslim and I haven't been praying properly for a while now and the sound of the call to prayer just melted my heart and made me cry 😢😭

I smiled so widely when I heard it and also when I saw all the pictures of the Masjids in Korea ! In France we don't have the right to built such big Masjid it's so sad and those ones in Korea are nor even considered big in muslim countries though it's considered huge for me a sad little muslim living in France...

and btw those are not worship songs haha, its just Arabic; they recite it an a beautiful way, but not in a way in which it would be called a song

    • @fatimahxxx6437

it is used to worship and pray haha it has valuable meaning that must be said during prayer ;)

more like praise and sometimes teaching or preaching. not so much a song. maybe more like poetry in a sense.

    • @fatimahxxx6437
      @fatimahxxx6437 7 ปีที่แล้ว +20

its more like just Arabic, you know how you speak a language (ie Korean) its like speaking Arabic. you can say it in a normal language manner, or express your feelings into the Arabic and recite the Arabic with feeling. Some do this because the meaning is very strong and valuable to Muslims :) you should search up surahs to listen to them (search up surah Ar-rahman on youtube and just peacefully listen)

It's seriously really nice of you to do this video because I bet a lot of people look for helal stores and restaurants in Seoul and just in general, that you try foods from other cultures, I'm turkish and muslim and idk, it just made me happy to see you enjoying our foods hahah 🙆 I really really love your videos and I've been watching them for a long time now hahah have a nice day ^-^

Actually I'm a bit disappointed with those people who commenting that they hate islam or whatsoever, believe me if u do some research or explore more about islam u will definitely fall in love with my religion.. People u should not talk bad about something that u doesn't even know.. It same as people talk bad about urself but they doesn't even know u.. 😞 i am sorry that I commenting a lot here but hey if u want to try halal korean food u can try it at eid, makan in itaewon , busan jib at myeongdong and others in nami island (i forgot the name)

Yes even though I'm half Turkish, I can say that Turkish food is SO DELICIOUS.
Because turkey is located right in the middle of Europe and Asia, their food has been influenced by the many spices that had traveled through turkey to reach Europe. There is so much variety in Turkish food. You need to try it ASAPPPPPPP

I recommend next time you get Turkish Delight to eat it in between a plain Arabic sweet biscuit/cookie. Make a mini sandwich, best way to eat it. Great video by the way!

This is so nice to know. I really want to move to Korea, but Mediterranean food is my favorite! I glad to know I will still be able to find some quality Turkish dishes even though I don't even eat meat lol

So proud of my Turkish peeps in South Korea, I hope they treat koreans well! ♥️🇹🇷
Ps. I think the white sauce is cacik pronounced ja-jk (yogurt mixed with cucumbers & dried thyme)

john doe its justified bc its apart of another culture's cultural norm. If you dont respect it as apart of their culture in itself, youre narrow minded, weak to judgment, and ignorant. You dont have to like it. Just bc your emotional morals differ from another culture's doesnt mean its the same for them. Educate yourself on diversity instead of being so caught up on ethics. Theres ethics in every culture including this one.

krystal_ icVip before the animal dies after they say the prayer the animal goes to sleep so actually they are killing the animal without putting harm to to it.
