There is so much money to be made in poverty. There is nothing more easier to sell than the invisible. The God card is always pulled out whenever you need it to justify anything. As an atheist I've been treated like this woman and I know what it feels like, everybody attacks you and wish you the worst but people believe in "God" because they're scared I've realized that with the time. I won't change my mind and I don't want to change others either, people need to understand that is okay to believe in whatever you want and no one can change that! I just watched the movie on Netflix. It's just sad that it was the Christians who attacked her, hated her with all the hate speeches and failed assasinations. I understand her point of view but she also went ahead too much with it. Hell of a women though.So tragic they died the way they did.

I am not a atheist & I agreed with Maddie %100. We must not practice religion in public, tax funds institutions. We have a separation of church & state and it’s been that way since the US. union was established. Last time we tried mixing the tow innocent people were executed for accusations of witchcraft.

It's more of her personal life where I struggle with where I consider her. I'd have to re-read it today as I think I'd have a different perspective, but her son William Murray's "My Life Without God" painted a pretty sad picture of who she was, and at the time I bought most of what he claimed. As the years have gone on though and I've read more into Madalyn, along with various clips, there's a lot of good she pushed that came through a brutal kind of push that was ahead of her time. I shouldn't dig into personal lives of others, especially the deceased, when it's none of my business, but it sometimes gives me a better perspective of which parts I respect, and which I have disdain for. I didn't realize why we needed to keep religion out of the schools until grade five, when for some reason, we started reciting the lord's prayer at the beginning of every school day. Kids who didn't want to participate could leave the room, but by leaving, they outed themselves as non-Christians, and were treated like shit afterwards. It was horrible. I felt so bad for them. Up until that time, Christianity was just annoying to me. That was the first time that Christianity really pissed me off.
I do not celebrate christmas as I am not christian but these athiest use other religions cases to throw all religions out of the window to the point they scare people of one off religion completely. Its better someone follow some moral code at least from a holy book, then to live life aimlessly, making up your morals on whim and your desire, being nice one occasion and a tyrant in another creating your own subject moral code. I'm not religious but I'm not atheist either. I agree that prayer and religions should be kept out of public schools because every person of different background is going to go there. So obviously we have schools for a specific religious dominations. But I'd never tell someone their religion is stupid or to shut up about it. And regarding schools, I have memories of when Jehovah Witnesses didn't want to stand for the flag, they could remain seated. For those who didn't want to participate in prayer they could remain seated if a note was administered from their parents. It's more of her personal life where I struggle with where I consider her. I'd have to re-read it today as I think I'd have a different perspective, but her son William Murray's "My Life Without God" painted a pretty sad picture of who she was, and at the time I bought most of what he claimed. As the years have gone on though and I've read more into Madalyn, along with various clips, there's a lot of good she pushed that came through a brutal kind of push that was ahead of her time. I shouldn't dig into personal lives of others, especially the deceased, when it's none of my business, but it sometimes gives me a better perspective of which parts I respect, and which I have disdain for.

Someone or something pushed you to reject the idea of God and I really want to know what it is and challenge that believe in love and truth.
Science is a tool of understanding, science can only prove what is possible on this dimensional surface not what is in an entire different dimension or even in other galaxy.
So no science cant prove that God exists because God isn't bound to His own physical laws. But science can prove the stories of the Bible for sure.

I didn't realize why we needed to keep religion out of the schools until grade five, when for some reason, we started reciting the lord's prayer at the beginning of every school day. Kids who didn't want to participate could leave the room, but by leaving, they outed themselves as non-Christians, and were treated like shit afterwards. It was horrible. I felt so bad for them. Up until that time, Christianity was just annoying to me. That was the first time that Christianity really pissed me off.
I do not celebrate christmas as I am not christian but these athiest use other religions cases to throw all religions out of the window to the point they scare people of one off religion completely. Its better someone follow some moral code at least from a holy book, then to live life aimlessly, making up your morals on whim and your desire, being nice one occasion and a tyrant in another creating your own subject moral code. That leads to social decay.
Most muslim know that being in a Christian country, christian festivals will be celebrated everywhere, its to be expected, its not offensive as they do not force us to participate.

And regarding schools, I have memories of when Jehovah Witnesses didn't want to stand for the flag, they could remain seated. For those who didn't want to participate in prayer they could remain seated if a note was administered from their parents.

My son went thru a period of professing not to believe in God but I never ever said or felt that he was no longer my son. I told him I loved him and that I woupd contunue to pray for him while we agree to disagree. Later he returned to believing in God. But had he not, I still would have loved him.

I remember my mom listening to her debating a Catholic Bishop. I asked how she was doing so far. She said, "she knows the bible better than he does." Also, I heard Madalyn talk in Scottsdale, AZ in 1991, and after her talk she made her way around the room and sat with us to talk for a few minutes. Main takeaway: Science is 1500 years behind where it could have been if not for religion.

But the fact is I was an atheist too for most of my adult life, I'm 28 now, and I can tell you boy oh boy how wrong i was about the Bible, because 1) people told me lies 2) because I want to do what I want 3) because before I heard the voice of God for myself I believed the 3 dimensional world was the only dimension....meaning God cant exist if I cant see or touch Him.
I was wrong and every atheist I wish I could just spend a week talking to. Because most of the time our lack of belief is not our own idea or thought as much as you want to believe. Someone or something pushed you to reject the idea of God and I really want to know what it is and challenge that believe in love and truth.
Science is a tool of understanding, science can only prove what is possible on this dimensional surface not what is in an entire different dimension or even in other galaxy.
So no science cant prove that God exists because God isn't bound to His own physical laws. But science can prove the stories of the Bible for sure.
