@@davidpouso1468 I already went out to some reefs a bit further south from you... off of Marco. The bite was much better than this trip, so I'm sure you'll really like the upcoming video.
In Brazil we use a lot of soft shrimps in plenty of colors and sizes. It catches everything! Some people like to add a small tremble hook on the sinker to increase the catch rate and it does work well on beaches. I like the colors that simulate a shrimp carrying eggs (search for "camarão ovado"), they are just amazing. "Micro jigs" also work great inshore here, another must have lure.
Nice video , glad to see y’all landing different species especially near shore with the Power Prawns. But where can someone find those jigs ? Do those specific jigheads give the lure better performance or it doesn’t matter and it’s just the correct jig weight that matters? I mainly use the Zman Redfish eyez or Zman TT Headlockz
These are jigs that we have designed custom for the Power Prawn lures. Yes, these jig heads do a better job at getting strikes in deeper water because their shape helps ensure that the lure doesn't spin while it's falling. We'll have the first bulk batches of them available in fishstrong.com next week.
Thanks Jimmy! The trolling motor would not deploy... I tested the battery of the remote, and it all appears to be good so I'll have to drop it off at a service center to get it fixed. At least it was stuck in the stowed position vs. down:)
This is actually the 2nd trolling motor we bought for this boat... the MotorGuide it came with went out after less than a year of use, and now this Minn Kota did the same thing.

Would absolutely love to see more of these near shore videos…..
Thanks for posting the nice comment David! I'll be sure to sneak out away from the mangroves to get some more reef fishing in.

@@Saltstrong Thanks for the reply, big fan of what the Salt Strong team does on a daily basis!
Everything was eating that lure , never seen the football sinker before . What was the problem with the trolling motor ?

What wt jig head are you using at 30 ft?
I was using a 1/2 oz jig head shaped as a football which seems to work best for bouncing the bottom in deep water.
Seems like that trolling motor has been nothing but a lemon for you guys. Would you purchase another one of them?
