I just got into USC and listed Webb (studio double) as my first housing choice. Is it very social? Like, are you kind of shut in or is it still very easy to make friends in an apartment?
+Georgina Maris Hi Georgina! Congrats on getting USC!! So excited for you. It's definitely not as social as the freshman dorms because the rooms aren't right next to each other. It's more shut in than social (at least on my floor) But you can still definitely make friends with the people on your floor if you put in the time. hi i am a highschool freshman so i wont be at sc till 2019 but i wanted to know what type of dorm football players are normally placed in because those beds looked way to small for me and also do you have any suggestions on things to bring or not to bring with me like tv games decorations ect
Hi there! I'm actually not sure where the school's football players live (Maybe they're in a house together?) The only freshmen football player I knew lived in regular freshman dorms/apartments like Flour Tower. I actually made a separate what to bring to college video! th-cam.com/video/MRvwMKJ92TQ/w-d-xo.html But definitely don't bring a TV; it's not worth the hassle (unless you live in state)
I'm going to USC next year as a freshman. Webb was my first choice when I applied for housing and I applied super early. Is it a good place to live for your first year? Did you ever feel isolated or have trouble meeting people?
Zack Kreisler Hey Zack! Congrats on getting accepted :) Webb was my first choice too and I think it's definitely different from your regular freshmen dorm because it's apartment styled. Depending on your personality, it can be a plus or negative. I know for my floor, people just kept to themselves because the doors are physically hard to keep open. But I had a friend who kept his door open on another floor in Webb so he got close with his floormates. I sometimes wished I lived in another freshman dorm because it's easier to just walk in and talk with your floormates but living in Webb has made me meet other people outside of my building (but i've still met a lot of people in Webb). No matter where you live, there are so many opportunities to meet other people! All in all, Webb does feel isolated at times but the majority of people you’ll meet will be in your clubs and classes! Are there ever any parties or social gatherings in Webb. I want to live their because it AC and a kitchen and is more spacious, but I feel like it will make me anti-social. I'm also thinking about New/North because I heard it was very social and doors are always open. I feel like I'll be missing out on the freshman experience if I live in Webb. Are people quite at Webb or do u guys chill in each other's rooms and become friends and have parties and hang out. HELPP!!??
••Food Sensation•• Hey there! There aren't a lot of parties per say like but people do have kick backs and chill in their rooms. Webb imo is more on the reserved side and I know a lot of people just go to frat parties to party. New North is super social (as in people often go out and come back drunk lol) but it gets to be a little too much sometimes because you don't get a lot of quiet time there. Webb is definitely not your typical freshman experience but it depends on how much you make of it! The rooms are closed most of the time but that doesn't mean you can't make friends with people in Webb and hang out/study together. Thanks for the tour! Does it get noisy? You know, it being an apartment complex full of college kids I'm concerned my sleep will be disturbed lol.
haha nope! Being an apartment style place, it's super duper quiet unlike the regular freshmen dorms. I had lots of construction going on when I stayed there so it was noisy but everything should be fine now!

hi i am a highschool senior and im thinking about going to sc next year and i was wondering how much do the apartments cost to live in the webb tower dorms ? because i heard its the cheapest one but i never knew the price

Hi - I'm going to USC next year. I put Webb as my first choice - I kinda have the same issue as the person below. Is it extremely hard to meet people or be social with the people on your floor? I'm considering between Webb and Fluor, have you heard any pros or cons about Fluor?
MVA Films Hi there! So excited you've committed to USC! :) It's definitely not extremely hard to meet people on my floor. However, there are a lot of international residents specifically on my floor so there's a bit of a culture barrier but I've met lots of other friends on different floors of Webb. So depending on the type of people living on your floor, it could be a really social floor or a quieter floor. I feel like Webb is definitely more reserved than a regular freshmen dorm like Trojan Hall or Marks Tower due to the space between the rooms. (But I do know floors in Trojan Hall that are really quiet and don't have a lot of socializing between rooms either). But that doesn't mean you can't make an effort to get to know your floormates!! I'm assuming you're a cinematic arts student from your TH-cam Name and what's nice about Webb is that it's right next to the School of Cinematic Arts. My roommate is also an SCA major and she loves living here. It's a really nice place to get away from the hustle of the campus and you're gonna be spending a lot of time outside of your doom so it's really easy to meet people outside of Webb.
Flour is also a nice place to live because you have 8 other suitemates instead of 4 like in Webb and it's still a pretty big living area. You can get really close to your suitemates but you can do that in Webb too. Flour is also more expensive and I think Webb is nicer haha. As for the cons, because there's 8 suitemates, you run the chance of not getting along with everyone. The showers are also communal so it's not as clean or personal as the ones in Webb. Flour and Webb are both nice but I love Webb so I'm biased haha. Sorry this was so long but hopefully it helped! Fight on!

Jamie's Corner Hey! Back again - I ended up getting Webb, so I'm really happy. Do you know which side of Webb (odd or even #s, idk) has the good view of downtown?
MVA Films Hey there! I know that my side (probably all the ones that end in 5) don't have a view of downtown. My friend in room 1503 got a nice view though! I'm not sure what specific room numbers have a view but usually you can't see all that much unless you're on the upper floors (7 and up) anyways and a lot of those are for upper classmen.
Only in 7 th grade but want to go to usc and study film so badly. Any tips on what to do to get in. Nice dorm by the way
