I used a floor jack with a 4 x 4 bolted to the top of the jack. The 4 x 4 fits through the center hole of the weight, and then slide the jack with weight against the tractor and start jacking up. Pretty easy to do and worked great. I did that on two different Cubs.
I’m 72 also with a bad back. Spent all day today trying to do this from the outside of the wheel. Obviously no success. Couldn’t get the weight close enough to the wheel. I have your same lift and dewalt impact. Your suggestion to go through the wheel to the inside makes a lot of sense! Also the board and 4x4 for minor adjustment will help too. Can’t thank you enough for these ideas. Will get back out and try it your way as soon as my back gets better from today!
