ERT has reason to be only if antags internationally slowing their objective to have more murder time. Otherwise if antag won, let them claim their victory. Game have too much ways to valid hunt anyway to interwine on admin lvl.
When the whole security force is wiped and there isnt a hijacker amongst (AMOGUS) them I can see why an ERT is deployed. I think I remember an admin explaining an ERT like an in game "Stop being so aggressive on killing crew". Basically take a chill pill to let things calm down so the round can continue.
@@billsteven5941 in the case of a cult, do you think it’s fair that the ERT is specifically designed to counter them, like with the Warhammer looking priest armor and stuff, or would a more general ERT be suitable? Seems like a nice balance for murderboners
ok so, you know the spell that converts borgs to cult constructs, and plasteel into cult metal? yeah that same spell can be used on airlocks to make them into cult airlocks, this is far superior as its hard for the crew to break it down, they cant use it, if they touch it they get stunned, you get access to it, etc..... its also quicker than beating down doors and much quieter too

Litteraly take all that cultussy and just rush sec with bolas and tp sticks, it's not that hard, but nah imma walk around doing jack shit or just stand near a rune for 40 min, cuz gotta read that wiki for neven before seen antag. Gotta say, this hurts on a spiritual level.
@@democrack113 yeah, TG has a lot less of that happening, but it's still around 20 to 35% of ppl acting like it's their first time hearing word "antag" despite having a minimum of 70+ hours in the game. There is a really bad need for some sort of tutorial ground, it is getting rediculous.
Outside of maybe vamps, what antag isn't horizontal low rp nowadays? Even wiznerds just use the most meta builds to kil as many as they can these days.
Cult and zombies are 'low rp' but very atmospheric, they make everyone else feel like their in a apocalypse. You could say the same for nukies but people like the premise.
Nukies are bad for this too, I agree, but I do think most people enjoy the gameplay of nukies more than cult. I certainly do. Can't speak for antag quality these days, I don't play much anymore but I always used to have a ton of fun with regular antag win/lose.

In your opinion are the ERTs a good or a bad thing? Paradise is the only station I've seen that uses them actively outside of admemery, so I'm curious

on one hand it was painful to watch but on the other im glad that new players find their way into the abyss that is ss13.
