I’ve been using it since this review and have no issues. I can’t speak for the long term durability as it only releases this year but I have no complaints yet.
I have other ring flight devices but was intrigued by Yigals as I own the Tarantula 2, after your review I'll pull the trigger and buy it, because I trust your reviews.
I really do think it’s worth it if you like the key design. As I say, my only concern is lack of instruction to fix/repair in case of damage. Mesika have great customer support though. Should your ring flight break (certainly within 12 months of purchase) I suspect the team would replace it for you.
It’s much the same. You won’t want to pull it more than about 60cm (two ruler lengths). As I mention in the review though, it doesn’t have as much tension as other ring flights. It feels very light and smooth in comparison to others.
Do you have to disappear the ring first Scott in order to work the gimmick or could you put the ring in your pocket with the keys and give it to someone seconds later....sorry if that sounds a silly question
The ring is vanished using the key. It’s the same method as most ring flights reely, so the ring must be vanished in your hands using the gimmick before reveeling it on the reely nice key chain.
Would you say this is better a version than Prop Dogs Ring flight Revolution? That one seems to get constant good reviews from what I've read. Cheers for now
In my opinion - yes. They both work in much the same way but Propdog’s is too bulky for me. I prefer Mesika for its design but both are good ring flights.
It’s very quiet. I haven’t used ALL the ring flights available but it’s the quietest I’ve used. Noise, tension and torque are things that have concerned me with ring flights in the past but this one is fairly quiet.
Great review! How’s it after 2 weeks of use? I really wanted a ring flight similar to propdogs except they’re too expensive, this seems good but the only issue is there’s no video about fixing it and no guarantee for replacement if anything happens, seems like a great choice though
It’s great. I used it at a few events and it’s worked perfectly whilst taking minimal pocket space. So far it hasn’t failed. Mesika website does say “satisfaction guaranteed”. I imagine if it breaks within 12 months of purchase they’ll fix/replace a broken unit. So far it feels robust though.
@@EverythingMagicPro99 Hi mate! I have been still strolling to find the best ring flight for myself and came across "Ring flight evolution" by propdog which is basically a rfr made in a normal garage key rather than an expensive key fob, it costs about 5-10$ less than yigal's in fact and Dave Bonsal helps out in fixing and stuff during issues so any suggestion regarding that mate?
@vengeanceXO I just looked and had no idea Dave created a cheaper “Evolution” to his classic Ring Flight Revolution. Dave is a good guy and if you want to support his products I absolutely recommend going down that route. Even better if you’re based in the UK. I still prefer the size and shape of Mesika Ring Flight but that’s because it suits my style. I already have a car key. I don’t want a second ring flight car key. I am sure Dave’s Ring Flight Evolution will work great if you prefer that version.
@@EverythingMagicPro99 Exactly! The only thing that bothers me about Yigal's is I'm not sure if I can fix it where as Dave's version I am guaranteed to have it fixed, I'd definitely have gone for Yigal's version only if there was something mentioned about fixing, replacement etc, I did reach out to Yigal and he said it's "Destin and Engined" so I need not worry about it but I've had bitter experiences in the past so yeah, moreover Yigal's still doesn't seem to be available yet (only pre order) so once people receive it we can see more common public issues, I'll still see as of which one is better and suits me, thanks!
As I say in the review - it is a concern but I can only assume it’s because the gimmick is unlikely to break. It seems that this is only something we will find out over time but out of all the magic companies I’ve dealt with so far, only Yigal Mesika, TCC and Bond Lee have had fantastic customer support with repairs. I would imagine that if it breaks (certainly within 12 months of purchase) Mesika team will replace it.
Don’t worry. You weren’t to know and no offence was taken. Hospital said treatment could last 6 months, so you won’t be the last person to put their foot in it 😅 Unfortunately my face (and body) is likely to become more red over coming weeks.
I've read too many horror stories of magicians losing rings or being blamed for existing damage after borrowing a ring for a trick. If you do any tricks with borrowed rings you really need liability insurance and even then i still won't borrow one as it can harm a magicians reputation and ruin a gig if accused of damaging a ring even if they didn't.
I was exactly the same, even though I have PLI. I will borrow simple rings and rings without large stones to perform this though. I have no concern about damaging a ring using Mesika Ring Flight.
Yes. I used it at an event for Aston Martin last week and put it on one of their key fobs. Worked beautifully. It’s not that hard to use, even though you haven’t used anything similar before.
I really want to hear your review about Crazy Sam' Mind by Sam Huang. I got the trick, i knew how it work, i watched a lot reviews about that trick and NO ONE of them say the truth. It's not a completely bad trick but definitely not pratical enough and of course, it's not worth the price...It's a brilliant idea from Sam but... it's just not good enough to be a magic trick (or a speacial system as they said).
I won’t be reviewing it. I think the effect is a fun idea to play with but ultimately not something many people will use. They should have told people the “gimmicks” included are rubber bands in my opinion.
You have missed out about noise, and it's not a small factor if it breaks its very poor there are no instructions on if it breaks then the £65 is gone simple as that kerp up the great reviews
There is basically no noise for me. It’s one of the most silent ring flights I’ve ever tried. Not having instructions on repairs is a bit of an issue though.
That’s a shame if true. Whether a guarantee is offered or not, there is a legal obligation under consumer rights to replace products that break within an unreasonable time frame (usually 12 months). I’ve used mine quite a lot and it still works perfectly. Mine also has never made any noise like some people claim with theirs.
@@EverythingMagicPro99 I’m trusting you and picking this up then because I always wanted a r**l ring flight but couldn’t afford or find a good one that I can afford, this seems great
All I can say is mine has been and still is great after using it for months. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! If you do have any issues with it contact the shop you purchased it from within 12 months of purchase.
Really wished you would have mentioned Departure, that’s the ring flite I’ve used the most, and wonder if mesikas worth forty dollars more. Smilesotheylikeyou
I’m unfamiliar of Departure otherwise I might have mentioned it. I’m not fond of comparing products and try to review them on their own merit, only making comparisons when necessary. Perhaps I’ll start making “top 5” videos for ring flights, ITR’s, packet tricks etc…
A truly excellent (as always) objective review. Although this is a great effect up till now I have avoided getting one. Having seen this version, I will probably get it now. Thank you Scott.
Hi Scott, I’ve been waiting for more feedback on this product and recent ones haven’t been great such as it’s not silent or it comes apart and doesn’t last long, what’s your take on this after 3 months ?
Mine still works silently and perfectly. Apparently there was an issue with one batch of products. People have told me Mesika has fixed the noise problem that was present in the second batch.
Not for this one. A friend showed me it and I definitely won’t be buying it. I think it’s one of those interesting effects to play with but ultimately something people will forget about and hardly ever use. The 50 “gimmicks” that are included in the box are rubbers bands fyi. Thank you again. Do you know if it locks? I like the appearing and disappearing moustache.
It does not lock. Yigal takes you through a couple of set-up’s that act in a similar way to a locking mechanism but the gimmick itself doesn’t lock.
How long is the reach of the ring flight? Some ring flights are somewhat restrictive and you have to keep your arms really close to your body.
It’s much the same. You won’t want to pull it more than about 60cm (two ruler lengths).
As I mention in the review though, it doesn’t have as much tension as other ring flights. It feels very light and smooth in comparison to others.

Noise, tension and torque are things that have concerned me with ring flights in the past but this one is fairly quiet.
Practicality-wise, for a non professional magician would you recommend Flite over this?
I think this is probably easier. Flight requires more sleight of hand. With this (and most ring flights) the gimmick vanishes the ring for you.
Wonderful review 👍👍
Thank you!
