@@loner1148 Didn't expect to see TSSF here. You're so right. They've been making amazing records since they were in highschool. They're just not as popular, sadly.
I like that people are finding this band years after but nothing will compare to seeing them in their peak. That whole scene back in 2013 was the last amazing movement in music. Hard to describe what that era meant and defined for a lot of us. With bands like Basement and the whole emo revival. It’s an era that will be surely missed and I’m glad I was there for it. but im also very appreciative to who put this on the internet i've wanted to watch this for so long and cant find the vhs anywhere to buy! so thank you!
As much as I can see why people are giving them shit for releasing this vhs.. I think it's a really cool throwback idea to do that. It feels so much older than it actually is, and Idk its just cool to do something different. Do I think they should always film vhs? No, but this is cool.
@@caboose05yeah this is a true piece of history. probably in my top 10 pieces of media of all time. it just feels so real. like i could be right there with them practicing the same riff for the hundredth time, getting frustrated, but still being motivated because it’s your true passion. i will forever love titlefight, and as much as i would like to gatekeep them, im happy for their newfound success and i hope them and their families prosper for 1000 years.
In the floral green documentary they said they already had ideas as far as micing, mixing and I would imagine even song ideas for the next album that they were talking about with Will Yip.
cool, i bought the vhs, but im european so i never got to see it because of the diferent colour encoding system between europe and the us, so thank you!
That John Frusciante impression was pretty god damn good!! Hahaha All those John albums are actually so awesome though. Little gems strung throughout Check out the Untitled tracks from Usually Just a T-Shirt
Pretty much positive that's a Marshall Silver Jubilee. Based on the colors I don't know of anything else it could be really. Looks a little smaller than most heads so it might be the 2553 model.
Because it's just a cool different media of video. Some people STILL make super 8 films, its different types of videography. Perhaps they like everything to be natural as apposed to having loads of effects on their videos. The video reflects how the record sounds raw and an old school recording without shitty sub drops and and breakdowns. Oh, and bands still use 8-tracks.
Not only are they different but they speak about life and i can relate to allot of what they say other bands don't make me feel that way. they are different and because they are so different allot of people like em they don't need negative headed people like you that all you have to do is state negative opinions.
do we consider 90's kids: A. people that were born in the 90's or B. people that watched are you afraid of the dark, stick stickly, doug, legends of the hidden temple etc. on nick when those shows were still showing new episodes or both?
Cara, fui ver essa banda por conta do teu comentário e é boa demaiss, tem muito a pegada de post-hardcore do TF que eu adoro e saber que é o vocalista de rival schools foi o produtor de Shed é incrívelll
When you record under a producer they are supposed to help you sound the best you can sound, its not necessary but its not like it ruins the integrity of the music
George Porte I think he's referring to top 40 haha. You're right though and there is a difference between having your music writen for you and coming into the studio to colab with a producer. This band is the best
I get the novelty of it, but I just feel it's frivolous and it's just for collectors. I may be alone here (I don't believe I am but who knows), but my VCR broke about 5 years ago and I haven't had one since and have yet found myself at a loss because of it. So for me, and presumably a majority of people now (again, I'm not saying I'm the authority on this), would have to go out of their way to get a player for this form of media. The same goes for 8-tracks, cassette tapes, and even vinyl.
Sounded better for the record. A lot of bands do that. J Mascis from Dinosaur Jr plays Marshall stacks and Jazzmasters live but records with a vintage fender deluxe and a telecaster.
I’ve watched this 27 times
underrated comment
Will that bring title fight back 2 life ?

10 years later still so glad this exists, filmed/documented perfectly
I found this band a decade later. They're sooo good. 😢
title fight loves being shot with vintage cameras
this is honestly the best vitamin water ad i've ever seen in my entire life.
i think i found this band 10 years too late :/
"You're a child and it's a childish voice that I love"
so good
19:15 Ned playing Trampled Under Foot is probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
The only band that acts real! They play whatever they want, they dont act fake, and no one hates on them.
Lmao at 3:55 when Ben was proud of his take. Ben was all "yes" with his facial expression and someone says "no that wasn't good"
I like this VHS bc it catches them in a more natural light than the interviews
"How many breakdowns are on the new record?" Classic.

No way 27 was recorded with a vox! Interesting. Ive been using a marshall patch to get ballpark TF sounds.

This whole time I thought safe in your skin was sung by Jamie… what the fuck!
how does ned do his vocals so raspy without killing his voice? i need to know
Breathe deep and push from diaphram. Get really pumped before singing. Don't force too hard. When you sing loud enough it should get raspy.
He’s straight up just yelling. It’s loud as fuck
Nice
