I switched from Vaughn carbon pants to the Bauer pro, it's been interesting dialing them in to fit with my ultrasonic chest protector. I removed the inner belt which I was hoping would replace my suspenders to give me more mobility but it didn't feel right so I went back to my Kova spenders that are now sliding off my arms so I'm going to try a strap across the front of my chest. I like the lightness of the pants, flat front and how light they feel. my only concern is going to be the longevity as I'm noticing wear areas which I didn't have with the Vaughn's which in my opinion are much better quality
Just got hpg 14a fit 1 . Length is lower than what i expected. Am i fine if they stop middle of knee cap when standing ? Wanted to crank them up with suspenders but like you said the break will be too high … what you think? Thanks
Here is what mine looked like: imgur.com/IN8CqQ7 As long as you have everything covered around there and the pants don't interfere with the pads you should be fine. For me (you can see it in my thigh rise test videos) I have my knee pads covering my thighs so there are no gaps.
The pro stock versions are WAY beefier. D3O is great if it is used properly, like in player gloves and elbow pads it makes sense. But it doesn't really make sense on goalie pants where it is the outermost flap.
Suggestion on your water bottle, long time ago I was playing with a high level defenseman and he told me to place the water bottle in the middle of the top net and not in the corner, he said that in the corner it give a target to the shooter. But the best is like in the nhl when you can put behind the net, only one ring on 10 in my area is like that
Players are shooting for corners regardless if a water bottle is there or not, they are aiming for gaps that I am not covering. Good players aren't even looking at the net when they are shooting to be deceptive.
I never had that issue (#88/#93) when your on D for me :p I have a hard time getting away from my custom vaughn slr2 pant. They are Medium with -1 off the legs. no internal belt and double hip segment protection. stock thigh protection. I get the odd bruise to the leg through them, If i went nhl spec on the thigh i probably would never get a bruise at all. but vaughn nickle and dimes your ass for anything extra lol Already paying $35 for extra segment padding, $35 for length adjust. f'en things ended up like $550 or something, but as a non tucker, the waist wrap of the slr2 is perfect for me, they are holding up well on yr 4 or something now. and it actually has decent room for a warrior double cup. unlike the brand new bauer s23 pro pant, medium fit me well but I couldnt wear a jock lol totally not enough room in there. retarded.

What size are you?
That bottom of the circle clapper seems unnecessary
If it is the person I think it is... he does it a lot.
I have a CCM pro goalie pants with D30, how would you compare with the HPG pants ?
