►Synopsis ：
In the 9th year of Wude Period of Tang Dynasty, Li Changge, the daughter of the former crown prince, accidentally escaped from the military coup in the palace. During her escape, Changge encountered the secret service agent of a grassland tribe, Ashina Sun, who was under the pseudonym of Qin Zhun. They got to know each other through a fight and their affection grew stronger. Changge smashed a conspiracy in Youzhou. However, at the same time, her identity was revealed, and she went to Shuozhou to escape capture. She hid herself beside Gongsun Heng, the governor of Shuozhou, to help him resist the invasion of the grassland forces, but she did not expect that the enemy general was Qin Zhun. Changge was shocked and distressed to discover Qin’s real identity. However, the situation in Yuzhou is in great danger. In order to gain time for reinforcements, Li Changge negotiated with Sun. For the sake of the overall situation, she was willing to be a prisoner and taken to the grassland. Then she accidentally learned that the Great Khan had an ulterior motive. Changge decided to temporarily put aside her personal vengeance, and risk her life to save the situation. In order to save Changge, Sun disobeyed the order of the Great Khan, but they were far apart from each other after that. After going through the arduous exile, Changge gradually understood the principle of the invincibility of the benevolent, and finally put aside her personal grievances. After discovering that the former forces of Sui Dynasty were the manipulators behind the scenes, Changge and Sun teamed up to protect the peace of Tang Dynasty and the grassland. They finally came to realize their deep affections towards each other and went to confront the crisis ahead.

I like Zhao Lusi as an actress but her personality and relationship with Hao Du in this drama is so uninteresting. Both characters have such dull, low-energy personalities with bland interactions. Their relationship did not take away from how wonderful and interesting the main plot is though.
@@usew...he cannot completely abandon his own country....and if he were to straight-up disobey orders then he would lose his head. Therefore, he has to be really smart about doing things. Changge _might_ view his actions as betrayal initially but he never truly betrays her. In fact, he cares a lot about her(a stranger he didn't owe anything to), and he has protected her, motivated her to live, and saved her life each and every time. I actually think Changge understands him to a large degree because she herself love her people and would never betray her country. Ashile Sun is the best.
Understood, but for me Hao Du and Leyan's story was awesome...they were the sweetest thing because yes we can see clearly that AS and C will be a couple and blah blah blah but to watch the love story unfold between cold-hearted Hao Du and simple-minded Leyan was beautiful....to move from being cold-hearted to thoughtful and loving, and to move from simple-mindedness to a strong woman with strength of character was just to beautiful to deny

I started with Love Like the Galaxy before The Long Ballad but I far prefer the relationship between Ashile Sun and Changge. I really disliked the female lead in LLTG. It was difficult for me to tolerate her bossy, bratty character.
You really need to watch LLTG trust me.😊
@@patriciabamford27...I watched it for Ling Buyi. Also loved Emperor Wen, A'Fei + A'Qi, and Consort Yue. The relationship between Ling Buyi and the annoying female lead character wasn't good though, IMO. It was so one-sided and left a bad taste in my mouth. Changge and Sun have a much more healthy and mature relationship based on _mutual_ respect and admiration for one another from the beginning. And best of all, Changge owned up to the errors she made and grew to become a better person, not just someone who spent the entire drama pitying and victimizing herself like Shao Shang did. She also didn't just boss her male lead around and demand, demand from him. I think LLTG is def worth a watch but it wasn't the wonderful drama with the great, inspiring relationship between the leads I was hoping it would be. It was actually a very frustrating watch and I felt that Ling Buyi would have been such a magnificent and interesting character going solo. Towards the end, he was dumbed down, became simple-minded, and just followed Shao Shang around saying yes to everything she demanded. He lost his complexity and became too much like Yao. Disappointing.
Dilraba and Lusi are both great actresses. I have a different perspective on how Lusi played her role in LLTG tho. I was also kinda annoyed by her character at first but when I finished the drama and rewatched it, I finally understood where she's coming from. Given Shaoshang's upbringing and personal struggles, her character development throughout the series is reasonable. She wasn't as pathetic as what other viewers say. I don't consider some scenes as self-pitying or victimizing oneself. It's natural for her to come up with such thoughts considering how much she struggled from the start. She was in fact constantly reminding herself that the only person she can rely on is Shaoshang herself, not anyone else.
Ling Buyi made a huge contribution to Shaoshang's character development. Shaoshang wasn't being selfish, bossy or demanding. She was trying to understand everyone around her without trying to lose herself in the process. Did they try to understand her tho? I just observed that some of the characters became self-centered at some point that lead to the failure of them understanding one another. They were so focused doing things their way.
Even the slowburn love between Shaoshang and Buyi shows how her character slowly develops.
Shaoshang's love for Buyi was stronger than her internal battles, but did Buyi felt the same? She was ready to go all in for him but Buyi failed to fight the monster in him and ended up failing her as well. Shaoshang only thought that her love for him wasn't enough to get rid of his hatred. She decided to give up on him not because she already hated him nor she was being unreasonable. Truth be told, she didn't want Buyi to give up on himself. She assisted him on redeeming himself by letting him go. It was also her way of leaving herself a bit of respect after all that has happened. She was failed by the people she care about the most. She chose herself because she owes herself the most.
If you could also remember, she keeps on telling everyone that she wants to stay true to herself. I don't think you need to get rid of all your flaws in order to become a better person. Some flaws are part of who we really are after all.
There's so much going on with Shaoshang's character throughout LLTG. I just hope more people could try to see how incredible of a woman she is.
Lusi's portrayal of Shaoshang is truly commendable.
@@tinamiii600...she wants to stay true to herself but demands that others change to try to live up to her expectations. It's bratty and very hypocritical of her. Why not just accept everyone else exactly the way they are too then? Why did she spend five years trying to punish people for not living up to her expectations? It takes compromising for relationships to work. As far as I could see, the one most unwilling to compromise as the story unfolded was Shao Shang. She refused to make changes to herself when LBY was willing to make changes for her. How was her love for Ling Buyi stronger than her internal battles? Her insecurities over her childhood abandonment issue is what led to her claiming he abandoned her and then breaking off her engagement with him when he simply didn't want her dying with him. How exactly does that demonstrate that her love is stronger than her internal battles???
So Hao Du likes princess leyan and he doesn't realize it but he knows that Leyan likes shuyu so that's one of the reason he is particularly sour with him...?😕

She said Dilraba was stealing Lusi's man and I simply stated facts, that this is a different world with different characters that have no ties to LLTG and that Dilraba was actually paired with Wu Lei first so if there's any stealing going on, it's not Dilraba. Second of all, if everyone can have a different opinion then why are you telling me I can deny but I have to see proper? You're contradicting yourself. It's my opinion and I have the right to feel whatever I want. Also, I don't really care about either actresses. I'm just a Wu Lei fan who wants to enjoy his dramas. I just far, far prefer the relationship of Ashile Sun/Changge over Ling Buyi/Shao Shang because Sun and Changge have a much, much more positive, understanding, supportive, and healthy relationship.

@magmusings1798 .....I don't have a problem with characters who have their own mind, only characters who are self-centered brats, hypocrites who want others to change for them but demand to be accepted for all their flaws, those who have zero care for consequences, and zero sense of any self-accountability. These are the reasons I have an issue with her. LBY wasn't the only person she never tried to understand, or treated like garbage. Seeing as how Shao Shang was the one dishing out punishment like she's somehow perfect, she's the one who needed to learn how to understand others instead of constantly victimizing herself and finding excuses for her own unreasonable behaviors.
Why would you think I want every female lead obsessed with my fav actor? Not at all. I would prefer Lusi not have any association with or be anywhere near him since she scolded him behind the set. Same goes for Shao Shang and LBY because they had a terrible onscreen relationship. Since you feel that I'm being biased and that LBY is just as horrible as Shao Shang claims and deserving of years of punishment, why would you want her with him anyway? Just agree with me that they should have gone their own separate ways and never ended up together. Unlike Ashile Sun and Changge who were made to understand and suit each other, Shao Shang and LBY are a terrible pairing.

I like the story but hard to get through knowing that Lusi and Wu Lei aren't love interests. Love like the galaxy ruined me. I crushed... but still can't stop watching 😆 lol
I hated the female lead character in Love Like the Galaxy, personally, so I'm happy to see Wu Lei's character with a female character I can actually like in this drama.
Dilraba and Lusi are both great actresses. I have a different perspective on how Lusi played her role in LLTG tho. I was also kinda annoyed by her character at first but when I finished the drama and rewatched it, I finally understood where she's coming from. Given Shaoshang's upbringing and personal struggles, her character development throughout the series is reasonable. She wasn't as pathetic as what other viewers say. I don't consider some scenes as self-pitying or victimizing oneself. It's natural for her to come up with such thoughts considering how much she struggled from the start. She was in fact constantly reminding herself that the only person she can rely on is Shaoshang herself, not anyone else.
Ling Buyi made a huge contribution to Shaoshang's character development. Shaoshang wasn't being selfish, bossy or demanding. She was trying to understand everyone around her without trying to lose herself in the process. Did they try to understand her tho? I just observed that some of the characters became self-centered at some point that lead to the failure of them understanding one another. They were so focused doing things their way.
Even the slowburn love between Shaoshang and Buyi shows how her character slowly develops.
Shaoshang's love for Buyi was stronger than her internal battles, but did Buyi felt the same? She was ready to go all in for him but Buyi failed to fight the monster in him and ended up failing her as well. Shaoshang only thought that her love for him wasn't enough to get rid of his hatred. She decided to give up on him not because she already hated him or she was being unreasonable. Truth be told, she didn't want Buyi to give up on himself. She assisted him on redeeming himself by letting him go. It was also her way of leaving herself a bit of respect after all that has happened. She was failed by the people she care about the most. She chose herself because she owes herself the most.
If you could also remember, she keeps on telling everyone that she wants to stay true to herself. I don't think you need to get rid of all your flaws in order to become a better person. Some flaws are part of who we really are after all.
There's so much going on with Shaoshang's character throughout LLTG. I just hope more people could try to see how incredible of a woman she is.
Lusi's portrayal of Shaoshang is truly commendable.
