@@Shhnee Many insurance companies refuse to write you a policy if you exceed the manufacturer's max HP rating. With 250's a 272 is a 50 knot boat. Do you really need more in a sub 30 foot fishing boat?

@@Shhnee With 300's though, right? It's also 50k more than a Robalo. Nice boat for sure but where I boat, even in a high end 27' boat like a Blackfin, it's a rare day to be able to run flat out or even more than mid 30's without getting beat up. I guess if you live somewhere where it's calmer more often top speed is more important.
