Beautiful work and all, but i do feel like its a bit lengthy, not that it's a bad thing or anything, but i feel like you should exclude moments where nothing really important happens, like upgrading buildings, researching, etc. you should really keep in the more important aspects like going to war, a character dying, etc.
But again, that isnt a bad thing, if you want to go for the more longer "documentary" style where it's played in a background, go right for it.

It's quite the tough decision because cutting it like that has so many variables. I do get your point tho
What I'll try is to give more historic content when the game itself is less interesting
