Right?!? I can’t wait to see the range on future electric motorcycles. Waiting to see what Honda’s comes out with in 2025, since they’re expecting to have commercial available solid state EV’s
If you goto their website, Energica has a map that shows all the dealers. They are expanding in the US. Slowly but are getting there. There is one in South Carolina, I think Wisconsin, and Florida where I am at. Still if you are out in the sticks, I believe they can crate ship it right to your house for you too. It's weight is like 578 lbs give or take a few, but once you get it going say 4 to 6 mph you really can't feel it anymore, the bike is very controllable, and there are times when Ive been riding and it's almost like the bike has ESP and can read my mind, just the slightest lean or push and it's doing exactly what you want it to. Being a naked bike, the wind can beat you up a bit, especially if you are at highway speeds and get by a semi etc, but hey, that's part of the love of riding a bike, feeling the wind in your hair right? :) The regen, well, learn your bike. You can set it's strength, lighten it up or crank it up, as you need but it is STILL controlled by your throttle! Let off a little bit, the regen will kick in a little bit, let off a lot and the regen is a lot, (If conditions allow, the bike will NOT let your Regen lock your tire or put you in an unsafe condition like that, it works hand in hand with your ABS etc to keep you safe) It does take a bit to get used to but once you do, you can essentially use regen to do most of your braking, only using the brakes at the very last few feet just to positively stop the bike, keep it from wandering etc. This saves wear and tear on the brakes and of course, puts a bit of that last acceleration back into the battery! You can also turn it completely off as well. You CAN switch modes while riding!! It is not the turn signal switch, at least on later models, it's the switch BEHIND the handle bar to get into those menu's. Finally, Energica stands behind their products 100 percent. I have had minor issues and talked to them and NO BS, just right away, bring it in we'll fix it. Speaking OF issues, the Energica line has not had any major issues either, which is a HUGE thing in the E vehicle world. How many other bikes and cars have had entire years recalled due to battery issues, power train issues etc etc? Not the Energica, it's a rock solid bike! I have had mine for about 9 months now and absolutely love it! If you are ever down in Florida, look me up we can go for a ride, I know some twisty roads that are really fun when you open it up to play around!
I have a ribelle rs here in Iowa. It was the first registration in Iowa for energica. Conf Uses a lot of people when they don't hear an exhaust. Wish I could charge at Tesla superchargers, but that won't happen until 2025 model years. 165 hp and torques is way different on electric bikes than gas bikes. Same with Teslas vs ice cars. Lots of fun. Keep the shiny side up!
When these are common, many people will not live to old age This is from someone who has ridden daily for decades, and has put 50k miles on my Zero SRS since 2020. On the bright side, there will be plenty of used parts, intact bodywork excepted.
Fantastic looking battery bike. Very cool the 21.5 battery was an option over the 7.2. While the changing of drive modes has to be done while stopped sort of sucks, it probably is not going to be something people would fuss around with a lot anyhow. Don't need to fuss around with it on the move. The only thing I don't care for is, it sounds like a golf cart. Which is a turn off. But on a sport bike like this, I doubt I would care much for an engine sound anyhow. I am a Harley monster motor sound kind of guy.
You can switch while driving, but on that, you don't have the self control to NOT floor it when it's raining etc etc? I get it, having the bike limp out is helpful but it's not a critical fault.
The tester commented on the handling - it’s the Rosso III tyres. Change to sport touring Angel GT2s and it feels like a 600.. Pirelli shouldn’t have recommended sports tyres - it makes the handling woeful…
I grew up riding Mopeds. I really want to get into electric motorcycles but i dont have a motorcycle license. Is it weird to buy an electric bike to learn and take a test on? Or will they force me to use a regular bike and learn how to change gears?
A lot of the noise must come from the gearing. It's like 2x lower than reverse on a manual tranny?? Excluding price, e-scoots and e-cafe/sport bikes are here.
the thing about regen is its a skill , you dont snap a throttle wide open on a serious bike or it flips , likewise you dont snap a regen throttle shut, you feather it to apply breaking to the desired level once you are up to speed with it . Set it to the max and learn to operate it properly for a massive brake pad saving . Start slowly and give the new bike some respect before you get proficient
I mean its a nice looking bike & I don't do sports bikes being an Indian rider. The only things that puts me off electric bikes and cars is the charge time & cost, plus in my ears there's nothing better that the sound of a V-Twin.
except for the fact that electric bikes have no range and are excessively heavy pigs... Once that improves and the prices get reasonable, I could possibly appreciate an electric bike.
There will always be trade-offs. It's not as if liter bikes have 300+ miles of range. They do 200 miles on a good day and if you're beating on them under 150 is totally common. Yes, these electric bikes weigh more; the Ego+ RS (supersport version of the bike in the video here) weighs 573 lbs compared to ~415 lbs for a fully wet Ducati Panigali V4, but the Panigale V4 makes ~85 ft-lbs and this makes 164... I'm sure the CG is probably lower but that's not necessarily advantageous in the same way in a sportbike as in a car since you want it to fall over into corners.
Honestly@@mr-hard-rock once you get going 4 to 5 mph you really don't feel the weight anymore, it handles very precisely. They also have a parking assist where it will actually give you a slow speed forward AND reverse to get you turned around in parking lots, the garage etc etc.
Seems to have range - they were riding it not plugged in. Seriously - heavy riding about 120 miles and DC fast. Rode one the other day -did not feel heavy - easy off the stand, agile handling.
Finally an e bike worth buying! I’m surprised Energica bikes aren’t more expensive.
Color me impressed!! Case stated it perfectly. Ride 4 hours take a 45 minute to one hour break and it's ready for another 4 hours.
The sound the the electric motor is kinda cool. Like a jet or something. 👍
Try a Golf cart.
@@WW-wf8tu better than a Garbage obnoxious overcompensating Harley
@@Captndarty I feel the same about those two wheeled tractors too haha.
@@Captndarty Except all electric vehicles sound the same, no variety.
Imagine in a few years time solid state batteries, 300 miles range will be possible.

That bike is so futuristic and that sound is really cool as well. 😮
Go golfing and rent golf carts. Can hear it everywhere you go. lol

Wow that's awesome electric motorcycle 😊
21,5 kW! Thats nice 👌🏾
Best looking electric bike I’ve seen so far 😍
I absolutely love my Eva Rs. Its an amazing bike.

Maybe I missed it,but did you ever try sport mode?
That is the top of the top when it comes to electric motorcycle. Zero has nothing that compares.
So you are saying Zero is a 0.
But there are other companies
Where did you get the bar end mirrors from? Any other mods done?
Love this bike. He has some cool barend mirrors ❤❤. You can get bags for these bikes that looks great.

They forced me to use gear bike in oregon. Just did it
Having gone electric after riding ICE for 40 years, there IS some muscle memory to overcome!
IKR, like not shifting for one!
Did I miss the price?

Yes - it's got a straightcut drive gear, like the reverse gear on some cars.

👍..and I've just come back from a 7600 kilometer trip on an Energica. It was a dream.. maintenance-free 110 hp. More on my channel

That looks brilliant "an electric bike that looks like a bike "😍no mention on price.
They start at about 22k ish. IMO worth every penny, I love mine.
is this too much for my first motorcycle?
Rain noise dealers to Brooklyn New York❤
This beautifull
You just need to get off the throttle to switch modes and you just need to be on the throttle to change regen lol
Bonkers cool. Ninja . . . for real.
They looooove wal-e don’t they..
👏👏👏 LOVE IT WHEN ALEX TAKES US FOR A RIDE ........ALWAYS ENTERTAINING🙏.....GREAT JOB KASE AND ALEX......
9:40 there is no lvl 3, its dcfc.
Level 3 and DC Fast Charging are the same thing.

Wait a few more years and the Chinese will be making something better for less than a third of the cost.
