Welcome Back! This is Matt and I love turning trash into CASH. It is Nacho Stuff but that doesnt mean someones trash can't equal cash. You see, many people have abandoned all kinds of random treasures and toss them into the trash. We take these lost valuables and figure out a way to make a buck from them. Sometimes it through resell, other times we might just scrap it. Either way, we are turning free stuff into cash. I prefer the curbside scene but occasionally find myself in a dumpster or two. Join me as I try to turn nothing into something.
I mostly consider myself a scrapper or repurposer of things that people have decided to discard. Some call it picking while others consider it a true treasure hunt. But at the end of the day, like most scrappers, I am trying to reduce our waste while lining my pockets a little in the process. Each piece of scrap metal, item of curbside treasure or piece of dumpster loot means one less piece going into our landfills and that makes me happy. Ideas for you:
Collect items to tag sale or flea market a few times a season or year with your family. Example, that framed art. Giant picture frames are very expensive and people are looking for them all of the time especially home artists. And of course those that want decor are potential buyers too.
Another idea is having a stall at a consignment or used goods shop. You just stock your shelves will clean merch and collect checks.

Yep..EBay.. was posting upto 30.-40 items a day..to America, New Zealand..Canada..America..plus running our hardware shop...not easy..but worth it...

In the U.K. it's hard to find a dentist, since COVID lockdown, dentist appointments, are hard to get.
Got back from Alabama today and man while there scrap was THICK, shame I don't live over there or had my truck with me, went past a few streets with multiple washing machines

the green book was wood - it was a prop to go with the bears. It wasnt a book at all LOL

I sure wish you had a place to store all winter coats and boots. I could probably get a person down there to do a pick up like in October all that stuff to donate. We have big coat drives in Missouri for kids and adults that need them.

Hi Matt, I have a friend that showed me an imported Chinese furniture catalogue, all sorts of chairs, tables, beds and cabinets highly decorated in Dragon, Tiger carvings. When you convert the currency it was the same as any locally owned franchise store, so not real expensive just have to know the right people in the community to get it.

Copper coils for what? Its a water tank.
It's a different water tank it is a water heater watch newburgbmx he finds those exact water tanks they have the pipe that comes out the top and you take those bolts out and it's around 15 pounds of copper coils. It's not like the other water tanks you have got in the past trust me I wouldn't lie to you but it's the first one like that I have seen you get but it really was one of the good ones
If it's still in the yard tomorrow take the top bolts out and pull you'll see it really is a lot of copper that tank is like a pool heater it wasn't one of just a plain water tank I learnt about those tanks the hard way I was scrapping and all the tanks I was getting were just water tanks until a got one that had the top piece just like the one you got in this video and just to see what was in it I took the top out and it was 15 lbs of copper coils it was a different kind of pool heater that I had never got before and at the time here copper was over $4 a pound I was so happy
@@brucecowan1853 this is a community that is 100% wells. That was a water pressure tank - it has a bladder and 0% copper. the ones newburgh is finding is for heating water.
