  • April 10 marked the 25th anniversary of the assassination of iconic struggle icon and South African Communist Party (SACP) leader Chris Hani.
    The SACP commemorated his death at the Thomas Titus Nkobi Memorial Park in Ekurhuleni.
    Hani's daughter Lindiwe denounced those who called for the country to "move on from apartheid".

    if not apartheid, I doubt Mandela's kids amongst so many would have had the opportunity to grow up in america and I'm sure that millionaires that resulted directly post apartheid would not have had the opportunities handed to them as result of the oppression suffered by the millions of people .. the majority of us did not get the opportunity to go into exhile, our parents were abused and they didn't get the opportunity to send us children to 1 st world countries where we could use the misfortune of parents in south Africa to get the 1st world comforts. parents children were killed by the white regime, children watched in horror now savagely their parents were beaten.. the comforts some experienced as a direct result of the apartheid regime is ironic ..
