For long distance, always prefer flight as it takes less time... Mum to Pune Bus is ok... Best option between train vs Bus...for me for long distance has to be trains ..
But bro in train…..it moves you a lot due to poor suspension or idk it just shakes like anything even if you’re travelling in 1st AC, in this kinda bus you won’t realise how fast and how bad the roads are…..you really sleep like a baby, have done super long distances on trains and in a bus like this and this is what I feel. Flight is a diff thing, for me its generally preferred for super long journeys when time is a constraint.

Sir ,please always confirm first from bus crew whether the bus has stage carriage permit or contract carriage permit. If the bus has contract carriage permit , then they can not pick and drop passengers from midway stops. Also confirm whether the bus operator has deposited all taxes with the state government. On delhi-punjab and delhi manali route mostly private operators has contract carriage but they pick passengers from midway stops and thus violet contract carriage. Also contract carriage tax is less than stage carriage permit.
