I dont think that is the prep considering ding spend like 30 min on the move h5. Ding win because he play the middle game briliantly and outplay gukesh. In the opening for me gukesh looks more prepared he looks more confident and play instanly
That last check by Gukesh actually threatens Qxe4 should the king have gone to h7, opening up a an attack on Ding’s queen if the pawn were to recapture. I just find it so cool that Ding had the ability to blunder even on the very last move of the game.
Thanks for explaining the ...Qd4 answer to Qxh7. What I was missing was what happens if White declines to take the Queen and instead moves his king. I don't recall other commentators mentioning ...Qxh4. (In fairness, it's possible they mentioned it and my brain didn't register what they said.)
MASSA BRAH Why ya'll doing Ding like dat??? There should be the clip with "The Reigning Defending CHAMPION OF THE WORLD!! ..." Take a page from the NFL Hype up anyone who's at the top. Protect the shield. Not u. but I find there's just not enough appreciation for the Ding-er.
No such thing as "overhype" for Gukesh. He is 2780+ I think he's actually pretty good.... And it wasn't just Indians hyping him up. It was the entire chess community because he's been on a tear. I support ding as well, but your comment was strange
There is no controversy about Magnus not playing: Magnus is not the world champion nor was he the winner of the last candidates tournament, he does not have to play this match. Magnus is a nearly retired player now.
A lot of ppl think that it isn’t a true representation of a world championship if the best player in the world isn’t participating. So to say there is no controversy simply isn’t true
@@jackgulley5789 ah controversy means that many people think? ok. Magnus may be able to perform at a very high level in a tournament or two, but by giving up the title he showed that he is not capable of competing at this level (in more demanding competitions like the candidates tournament or this 14 game match against another player who is in top form) Magnus gave up the title because he is too proud to lose it on the board

Oh man remember years ago when I tried to get every opening book award on ches😂scom.
Ding Chilling
Is he even top 25 ? 😂😂😂
Ding Chilling
14:30 i was watching live and Judit Polgar found Qd4 basically instantly. It was amazing.
Great breakdown! Let’s go Ding! ❤
Incredible analysis. Thank you for explaining at such a level that it even made sense to a low elo player like myself!
What a game! Both coming out of the gates swinging. Go Ding!
best recap i've seen so far. keep it up!
Best analysis I've seen yet. Not sure why I'm watching them all but I am.
Gukesh Will now be more fired up
Great video, thanks Aman! Go Ding GO!
Killer preparation by Ding, winning with the black pieces 🥶🥶

Nice recap, definitely following through 👍🏻👍🏻

are you guys covering all the games live over kick/Twitch?
Thank you for the awesome recap!
Ding clearly watched Hans' French masterclass
Excellent recap and analysis. Thanks!
King ding lesgoooo
Ding used Aman time-control technique
boys where has eric been?
What a game 👏 👏 👏
Ding Liren was studying Chess Mood confirmed
Ding winning makes me so happy - underdog fantasy 💪💪
He was never an underdog. He is a cunning fellow just like his country.
So, you are telling me I could compete with the only bad opening I know badly?
Go Ding!!!!!
I don’t like the closing music - the video is chill and makes perfect sleep playlist video and then the music blares on and scares me 😮
Let's go Ding!!!
hey, the 2nd game is closing the finish line, this is for the first game? whaaaat
good coverage
Ding with the win 🎉
(Spoilers)
HOLY FCK! Ding turned a terrible looking position and a 1 hour deficit on the clock into a masterclass WTF he is a god.
I wouldn't say the last bishop check is irrelevant, if kh7 there was a draw
Guess somebody watched aman's french speedrun
I hope more French games from Ding 😃
So Ding is just here to farm elo?
game on
Shocking
Oh shit! That's happening now?!
Yup! Where have you been man?
@@aman_axioms Too busy for my own good apparently!
King Ding 👑
Daily recaps!
Ding clearly watched Fight Night & felt inspired to play the french. Very cool to see! So fast with the recap too, I love it! Goooo Aman! 🔥
Big Ding coming out STRONG because THATS OUT BOY DAWG
Nah Qd4 is gross. Can’t believe I hadn’t seen that in other recaps yet

My guess is that Ding was sandbagging. He was guaranteed this match and winning is more important than showing people his true strength
Ding: "Do you know who I am?"
He shocked the chess world. Hopefully he can keep it up.
🤘🤘
This made me realize just how much harder it is to analyze a game without the eval bar.
thanks for the coverage, gotham got quite stale for couple of last month for me and yours channel is like fresh air

I love Gukesh but India as a whole is getting too strong, they need to chill TF out.
