Update 9/21/23; My husband passed away in the hospital 6 months ago. A traumatic, horrific experience for both of us and I miss him more each day. We spent the last 20% of our marriage taking care of each other and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. On our 45th Anniversary last Oct. 1, he danced with me in our family room, as I mentioned here. This year? I can’t stay home alone on Oct. 1. I just can’t. So I’ve booked a room for one night in a motel in one of my Happy Places: the Jersey Shore! I don’t care if it rains or even snows(!), I am going there by myself so I can sit on the beach, bury my feet in the cold sand and remember all the wonderful years I had with this man. Perhaps (if the beach is empty) I’ll play Kenny on my phone and I’ll dance with my invisible partner under the umbrella. ❤️

It's so hard to believe that it"s been almost two years since Kenny Rogers passed away. I remember when I heard the news. I read about it online, and my heart just broke. I immediately thought of Bruce Boxleitner and Dolly Parton, since Kenny was good friends with both of these celebrities. Bruce Boxleitner posted a photo on both Instagram and Twitter of him and Kenny on the set of the first "Gambler" TV movie, along with a sweet comment about his friendship with Kenny. Dolly Parton posted an emotional video on Facebook and Twitter about her friendship with Kenny. I have been a huge fan of Kenny Rogers since I was a young teenage girl back in the 80's. My uncle, who I wasn't close with, just died this Sept. 2024 due to severe asthma. He had introduced songs and games to my mom (his youngest sibling) which we'll forever cherish. His death was so sudden and unexpected. All throughout his wake and burial, his family showed immense love for him. They were all very close, their relationship (him and his fam, him and his sibs) is something I long for. This song was played all throughout and his wife plays this a lot. Uncle, we may have not had the time to know each other, but thank you for being such q great brother to my mom. She regrets not seeing you alive, which breaks my heart the most. You're now with your parents and your two siblings, please look out for the rest of us here and bless us with good happy memories. Update 9/21/23; My husband passed away in the hospital 6 months ago. A traumatic, horrific experience for both of us and I miss him more each day. We spent the last 20% of our marriage taking care of each other and I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
On our 45th Anniversary last Oct. 1, he danced with me in our family room, as I mentioned here.
This year? I can’t stay home alone on Oct. 1. I just can’t. So I’ve booked a room for one night in a motel in one of my Happy Places: the Jersey Shore! I don’t care if it rains or even snows(!), I am going there by myself so I can sit on the beach, bury my feet in the cold sand and remember all the wonderful years I had with this man. Perhaps (if the beach is empty) I’ll play Kenny on my phone and I’ll dance with my invisible partner under the umbrella. ❤️

This may sound crazy but I chose this song to end the video we made for my mom at her memorial. At the end of her long and special life she had Alzheimer’s. I spent many hours and days sitting with her, enjoying her even though she may not be able to say a word. She was the best mom! I lost my husband to cancer.
We were together 43 1/2 yrs.
I LOVED HIM.SO MUCH.
He was my whole World.
It has been 4 years since I lost him and I have never stopped crying.
He was the kindest and most thoughtgul man I knew . He died in April and he just turned 64 in February. I will Never love anyone again.
He was my one and only until I pass from.This earth.
If there is an afterlife, I hope he is waiting for me so that I can be In his arms again.
A few strange things happened to me since his death and I am not afraid of these things. I just want him to come home again just one more time.

I'm sure a good man like your husband is in the loving arms of Jesus. When you are sad, ask the Lord Jesus to comfort you. He said that he came to heal the broken hearted. He has always been there for me, through the toughest times and I know he'll be right there with you too.
I lost my girlfriend 4 years ago, this song makes it feel like just yesterday! She died from cancer and I took time off of work to take care of her until she passed away. I miss her so very much! We will all go one day to a place that we dread! So treat others the way that you want to be treated because in the end that’s what truly matters!

It's so hard to believe that it"s been almost two years since Kenny Rogers passed away. I remember when I heard the news. I read about it online, and my heart just broke. I immediately thought of Bruce Boxleitner and Dolly Parton, since Kenny was good friends with both of these celebrities. Bruce Boxleitner posted a photo on both Instagram and Twitter of him and Kenny on the set of the first "Gambler" TV movie, along with a sweet comment about his friendship with Kenny. Dolly Parton posted an emotional video on Facebook and Twitter about her friendship with Kenny.
I have been a huge fan of Kenny Rogers since I was a young teenage girl back in the 80's. Kenny Rogers will always be loved and missed. R.I.P., Kenny.

My nephew danced with my Mom his Grandmother at his wedding. This was in memory of his Mother who passed away! My Sister will always be missed!

My uncle, who I wasn't close with, just died this Sept. 2024 due to severe asthma. He had introduced songs and games to my mom (his youngest sibling) which we'll forever cherish. His death was so sudden and unexpected. All throughout his wake and burial, his family showed immense love for him. They were all very close, their relationship (him and his fam, him and his sibs) is something I long for.
This song was played all throughout and his wife plays this a lot. Uncle, we may have not had the time to know each other, but thank you for being such q great brother to my mom. She regrets not seeing you alive, which breaks my heart the most. You're now with your parents and your two siblings, please look out for the rest of us here and bless us with good happy memories. I hope that when we meet again, we get the chance to talk about all of these, especially the games you've taught us.
