I'm from the States and just wanted to say a couple things:
1) There are no uni (uni = college) football (we call it soccer to differentiate from american football) clubs that play in front of 107,000 people every week, much less even one game. There are not any college soccer programs that play in front of a crowd remotely close to 107,000. In fact, as of 2018, the University of Connecticut had the highest average attendance with 3,213 people per game.
2) Playing college soccer in the States is NOT professional. College athletes are strictly amateur. Their "compensation" comes in the form of the University paying for tuition, books, and housing. In recent years, Universities have been permitted to give a small allowance for food and I believe some spending. It is not enough money to live off.
3) College soccer in the State is hard to compare to the UK/Europe but its a very low level of play. I'm not an expert on English football, I've only watched tons of Premier League and a good bit of Championship with some League One and Two. I would say the absolute best College Soccer teams are somewhere around National League level. But it's hard to say.
Now, all that being said- you should absolutely come here and play. You get to experience american college life, get a free education, and play real 11v11 football. Depending on what college you go to, american college life can *occasionally* be like how you guys see in the movies. And honestly man, I thought you did great in the shooting and game situation 2v2 drills. You possessed the ball well and shooting was obviously good. Definitely plenty good for college soccer level and probably higher. If you want a British success story on going to America to play college soccer look at Jack Harrison: left the Liverpool academy around 14 years old in to play at a boarding school in the states, then played for Wake Forest University, then got signed to Man City affiliate NYCFC, and now is a starting winger for Leeds United. Possibly has top 10 first touch in the whole Prem. So the sky is the limit man, cross that pond!
I’ll second you on point #1. As a viewer from the US, I almost fell out of my chair when they showed a packed U of M stadium and said that would be the expected crowd size. That’s attendance for a major game of American football, NOT European football (or soccer as we call it). Perhaps the attendance numbers got lost in translation? Don’t want to see overseas players being misled or disappointed once they arrive.
As a college soccer fan myself, I would LOVE to see attendance and interest grow. I currently attend a Division I school which has one of the best college teams in the country. I would say home games consistently attract about 1,000-3,000. Although smaller, the crowds are loyal and love the sport! :D
Regardless, I agree it’s a great option for receiving a scholarship and potentially breaking into professional leagues. Good luck with your decision!

@Jeepman89 he could still play NAIA. But he was borderline for NCAA.
We had some US D1 players come to my university in the UK. They were at a similar level to UK uni players, who are mostly top amateur/semi-pro at best. The very best few might get into the pro leagues, but the best that most could expect would be to play in divisions 6-10 in the UK league system.
Great points. Michigan's football facility has a max capacity of 2200. If I were to add 2 additional: 4) Football (Soccer) scholarships very rarely cover 100% of your expenses. Expect to pay to play. And 5) Within the collegiate system, academics are highly prioritized. They view you as a student first, athlete second. If you do not sustain your grades, you will have your scholarship revoked. You will have to put in full time hours for school above your time on the pitch.

Hey man... you were superb in the trials. I say take the free education in the US and continue to do your best at the game you love. It will take you where it takes you. I'm pretty sure you'll still be able to put out atleast 1 TH-cam vid per week so I wouldn't sweat that part. As a matter of fact you'll attract more viewership even with less vids bcuz viewers are now even more interested to see what your transition to the US would look like and how well you'll compare with the boys here. My advice is that in add much as footy in the UK is more advanced than the US, if you do come, do not take that for granted. Still play as if you're coming up against the best. The skill level in the US is definitely getting higher and higher so do expect some quality. Best of luck.

Really talented and was suprised how good his shooting was for a slightly built player. Has everything except physicality.. would need a steady weights/strength routine, every 2 days for example, and assuming he approaches it like a total pro I think he would have a nice career.

Playing college fútbol in the States is not playing professionally. While in college he’s not going to get paid unless a professional team drafts him to play for that team.

Okay so let's get a few things straight here:
1) The picture of the stadium packed with 107k fans was taken from an American football game in an American football stadium. European football match attendance in most college games is MUCH lower.
2) A Finnish youtuber called Lasse Hurskainen started making his youtube videos in college, so it's safe to say you would have adequate time to make content.
All in all college is a very viable option to get your education while playing, but the chances of making it pro in the US after are slim.

That's a serious dilemma 😅 You can take the chance to go pro and kick ball that way, but compared to the life of fun and comfort you've created for yourself, you're sacrificing it all for a life you don't know what downsides you'd be signing up for. Well what i can tell is this. What is your goal? What is your ambition? What can be your regret? You're young and honestly you have a chance that many people don't. Take it & explore it. Embrace the new and focus as we all know that playing football won't last long but at least you won't regret it later by asking yourself: What if? Videos are fun and nice to think about the community but first thing first, think about yourself. By asking strangers what to do, seems you made up your decision.
