@@japanjay How STRANGE!!! I was at this very moment listening to a new trio with Jack in it and then "synchronicity" struck when you beeped in with your comment about Jack Pearson. Pearson is great. I first heard of him when he played with the Allman Brothers and then he did such fine work on Gregg Allman's album, "Searching for Simplicity". He set "Dark End of the Street" on fire. I must have played that song 1,000 times just to listen to his slide work on that song.
@@japanjay By the way, your comment is spot on about Jack and Derek setting the bar on playing. It's amazing to watch Derek as a young boy playing far and away above his age.
Derek is a great orchstrstor and he does a hreat job with his band ss does the band i would also sau thank you Susan guitat Pic 2022 and Derek 2023 i am forever grateful love TTB ❤ Swampette
He’s Django, Duane, Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, JJ Cale, and no offense to Warren Haynes as I’m a great fan of his too but Derek is literally a slide master, he’s the real deal, an actual Jedi, and it’s easy to see why he’s Trey Anastasio’s favorite guitarist!!!
what a great interview. i assume you all have heard the first cd in the I Am the Moon song cycle. It is great to hear Derek talk, he is so personable, which leads to the question: I have seen TTB six times, and I don't think Derek has said a word onstage. He seems shy, but on the other hand, he does such a great interview. Anyone know why he does not talk onstage?
Greatest guitar player of our time.
Yeah! Agree!! Scarborough rocks!!!
No question at all! Joe's decent too!
Him and Jack Pearson set the bar for players these days

Tedeschi Trucks Band…Derek and Susan…are a gift. So much talent and heart…and amazing music.
Great to see them back out on the road. Just purchased box seats for Auburn, WA White River Amphitheatre! Hottest band out there for my taste.
Thank you very much, a very enjoyable listen.

A friend of mine, a big shot in the music industry, watched Derek play and said: 'He doesn't play. He is.'
Derek is the greatest guitar in the world!! #RedheadTTBhead
Such a humble guy

He does talk. He just doesn't use words.
@@dwarslaeven4035 beautifully put!
Guitar God!
And so those three or four albums of new material turn out to be I Am the Moon. . . .
How did this nerd get Trucks on here? 😂😂
No shit....he's a lefty puppet
Much respect to Derek Trucks!
But huge LOL at Cold Case Joe 🤡
You guys should edit out the producer's instructions during the interview, its a little jarring.
He mentioned covid so I'm out
Lol.
What a snowflake...
