Andy Zolzman has really grown on me, though and brought his own unique style to the news quiz which I have found really funny

What a gift that Labour wasn't in power.
This is one of the worst, weak, incompetent and disconnected from reality shambles of a government since the war.

Interesting to hear about Warwick Castle at 8.17 point. Two years plus later D. Cummings could well have been saying that....

Good humoured and funny, unlike the series just ended. No wonder Miles Jupp resigned. Now they are unfunny nobodies who giggle a lot and expect applause for saying something vicious about Trump, Brexit, Brexiteers or Boris. They laugh at their own “jokes” so don’t expect the audience to do anything other than clap. Come back Susan Calman. Vikki Pepperdine, Andy Hamilton and RIP Jeremy hardy (you are sorely missed).

"applause for saying something vicious about Trump, Brexit, Brexiteers or Boris" WTF else do you expect to do with such a collection of incompetent, venal imbeciles?

Miles Jupp left because he couldn't commit to the show - missing a series in order to do TV was not on.

Can't make up my mind whether I'm glad the hilariously astute and succinct Jeremy Hardy died before the pandemic and ensuing shit show or not. But I do miss his humour.

This was a brilliant programme which I didn't appreciate enough at the time - prescient, is how I should describe it now; we could not know, back then, how utterly dreadful Brexit would be.
Mind you, we did know, the moment Andy Zaltzman took over as the programme host, that the whole thing would tumble humourlessly downhill. Not his fault. Lovely man. But as funny, in delivery and content, as the Speaking Clock. I wish it were not so, but one has to be honest - or where lies the point in comment? Eh? Answer me that: can't, can you?
Sad decline, though ... I try to avoid it now; another avenue of pleasure denied me, to add to all the others.

Jeremy Hardy was fired by The Guardian for being too left-wing

Susan Calman is deeply unfunny and not fit to tie Jeremy Hardy’s shoelaces.

The use of the silent "ah" was a nice touch.
