@@roh9934 but in nptel lectures it seems like teacher is just dictating information without enthusiasm. But still respect for both because both parties put lots of efforts.
U r the best sir, I am watching all the videos prior to studying and trust me it has helped me grasp the concepts much faster and has simplified my learning process. Thank you so much. Looking forward for more such courses from u!
India definitely needs teachers like you.. I have watched nearly all of your videos and I've never thought that I could understand and learn these concepts ever, but because of you and your videos I am able to learn these stuff with so ease. You are really really superb. A big thanks to the whole team of Gate Smashers for bringing out videos to help out the students like us. Thanks a lot sir.
Are sir aap to bahut hi badhiya explain krte ho... Aap bahut hi achchha kaam kar rhe ho Students k liye...jaha colleges me achchhi padhai nhi hoti waha aap aapna best dekhe explain krte ho... Aapko bahut logo ki wishes lagengi.. Love you sir. From Lucknow
Once again Excellent!!! :-) I would like to add two things: 1. In first two SYN packets (SYN & SYN+ACK), there is no actual data in TCP segment and its size is 0 byte. However in TCP 3 way handshake these SYN packets are considered to have one byte (which is called ghost byte by some). That is why when both acknowledge each other in 2nd (SYN+ACK) and 3rd packets (ACK), they increment (Sequence Number received from other side+1) which becomes their ACK number, which they send. 2. And final ACK from client also contains no data (0 byte segment), but it is not considered one byte like SYN packets. Hence when client send data packet after 3 way handshake, like http request in this example, it will reuse same sequence number (as it has not sent any data byte in ACK packet) which it used in FINAL ACK packet which will be 9001 as per this example.
