    I think it is great that this work is being done. We need multiple options. Wind and solar is great, but there are plenty of places where solar doesn't do that well, and wind can also be unreliable.

    i will extract energy by using siphon pipes bunch
    every cm square area gives tremendous pressure which can be used in making electricity forever
    use an inverted vessel like test tube filled with water and water column are going to 10, 34 meter high approximately
    but as waves are going up down then we found never satisfied platform so we put the floating neodymium magnet and coiled the vessels with copper coil enough to give electricity which is packed with battery for later use
    use a large scale model of scale so on one side we got a large push or pulled leverage system and on another side we got tremendously concentration of energy

    No-one can afford the luxury of thinking they have all the answers. It will take a combination of these sources to replace fossil fuels. Now, before they become essential, is the best time to develop these technologies. The one thing we all agree on is the fact that fossil fuels cannot last forever, and in some cases, are already in relatively short supply.

    • @HauntedXXXPancake
      @HauntedXXXPancake 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've worked professionally on a project like that - Funny enough was exactly 250 kw. The main problems where Anchoring, Ruggedness & Maintenance. To make a thing like that go in the Ocean and last for years, you essentially have to build a floating Panzer. That makes it heavy, requiring a lot of Anchoring. All that needs get maintained, so you also need crew and preferably your own shipyard. That makes it expensive with the costs growing for every mile you go further out to sea. I love these things, but I've come to think, that systems you can just walk on from the shore are the way to go at this stage. With materials getting better & better, we'll hopefully also soon get those big boys in deep blue sea :)

    I think the greatest challenge is power, each wave passes after several minutes, the rise and fall of the waves takes several seconds and this decreases power output. work done = force * distance, power = work/time. large time reduce the output so much

    Totally contained power generation is a regulatory path possibility. Danger to wildlife and people is still possible with parts that scissor. Emarena Corporation requires renewable power such as that from OPTT and Wello. Suggested is in house development of hurricane proof (and submersible floating) habitats with large ship docking capabilities. The power and research stations are expected to cost between 250 million plus (see cost of thick hull battleships). Such focused investment is needed to create the critical mass required for academia and business.

    They are making this all to complicated. They should be using these power making devices to make compressed air, pipe the air to a generator. Why make a complicated assembly for each device, when you can use a simple design to just make air. Also using air will allow a controlled release of elec.

    Instead of using wave energy to produce electricity they should use it to pressurize the salt water to provide input to reverse osmosis desalination plants. A better way to "make" electricity is to not make it. Install LEDs instead of tungsten bulbs. That saves 95 percent of your electricity bill. Fresh water is needed in a lot of coastal communities around the United States.
    You could feed fresh desalinated water into the "water grid" of Los Angeles and charge rich celebrities a premium to have green lawn in a water shortage. It's "their" water, they're not depriving the great unwashed (get it, the great unwashed?) of any of "their" water. It's analogous to Tesla. A electric car for which is a toy for rich people who want to indulge themselves. Similarly, expensive desalinated water for rich people who want to play golf during a water advisory in August.
    This would provide the startup capital to invest in new technologies and find inefficiencies. It would also disprove all the flaky ideas that don't cut the mustard.

    So i like the IDEA of this, but to be reliable like all other forms of green energy, economies of scale must be achieved to keep it consistent. Otherwise, like Germany, they have to supplement "down times" with fossil fuels, which negates the point. So how are you gonna deal with the miles of coastline taken up with underwater cables, mounts, ect where fishermen and moving vessels have to move about? And what if Ted Turner doesn't' like the view?

    I had to start a new comment as it cut me off typing on the last one. Tidal power is great for remote communities along the coast and may play into the grid if a reliable design is really put into production. Nuclear is the way to go and has been since the 1960's when reactors using thorium were developed that cannot melt down and are much less radioactive in operation then the emissions of a coal power plant. Wind turbines are high maintenance, noisy and kill birds. Solar may have its place in areas like the deserts of the southwestern US, or as I use solar to keep electric fence batteries charged! Our economy does not have to be destroyed to utilize these technologies. I work in agriculture and the oilfield and I quite like being a player in providing energy to run your car or heat your house. People need to stop the histaria over climate change. It always has happened and always will happen! If you want a good cause; Go Tie Yourselves to the Trees in the Amazon!!!

    • @johnbenton4488
      @johnbenton4488 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The only snag with widespread use of nuclear ney is finding somewhere to park the tons of waste. We are talking long-term here, as nuclear waste remains hazardous for tens of thousands of years. And in that time we will generate a lot of waste.
