If you cover those mount screws (threads and tops) with a very thin coat of pure silicone dielectric grease, they will stay corrosion free. Dielectric grease withstands water, heat, and all attacks of nature.
I'm a little concerned about having it exposed to the sun for a long time. It would be best just to mount the camera when you know you will be collecting interesting footage and store it immediately after.

Will this be compatible with chief roof rack ?
As long as you have a load bar with a slot for tracnuts then it will work.
