one of my favorite New York band. in my humble opinion, 'Fall Right In" is their finest work that really define the band. The sound and the lyric for me is about the feeling and the longing of something that you once had in your life. I love most of their albums. Also love the bands that are affiliated with them like Craft Spells and DIIV. Greetings from Bali island, Indonesia.
It never surprises me when people are raised Catholic, or lived in those boarding schools as a kid- and grow up to say there is no god. Christianity and its branches kinda take scripture ultra literally, and teach from a place of like self gratification and in a way that supports their own mind states, evil intent, shortcomings etc... instead of using the scripture to grow themselves too. Like alot of Scripture can be seen resonating with universal laws like karma, but people weaponize religion so i feel being philosophical and reading and finding what resonates with you is better than limiting yourself to one religion; especially if you have trauma associated with it... Its better to read the Bible with fresh eyes than put on the glasses other people give you. Man is limited and can be inherently corrupt. God is about the greater good of all and soul evolution, so it may not look the same as our greater good for ourselves and instant gratification. Its better to keep an open mind
