JK wrote this song to be part of the soundtrack for the Japanese movie of the same name. The movie is intensely emotional, and I think they were just really focused with this particular performance.
Your Eyes Tell was written by Jungkook for the Japanese movie of the same name. The movie mentions some of the lines from the song; some has been said that Jungkook had access to the script to write the song.
Here are some examples of lines from the song that have some similarity to some moments in the movie: "Because a future without you is a world without color. Full of monochrome coldness"; and also, "Staring straight at you only. So you don't go anywhere."
The song is somewhat sad because it deals with the tragic story of an accident that caused the protagonist to go blind and took her family away from her. However, she never gave up and continues to look for the bright side of her new life by enjoying the small pleasures in life. Everything changes when she meets a boy who is a former boxer and convict who made his living in illegal fights. And although this pair of young people may not seem to have many things in common, fate brings their paths together and they soon create a strong bond that nothing, nor anyone, can break.
To add to what was stated before, the Japanese movie was a remake of a Korean movie, based on some real story. So JK might have known the story as it was well known. And yes it's a sad story and yet very moving.
The old ARMY of this fandom have always told me that bias doesn’t mean favorite, but that it’s who you vibe the most with. So you’ll often see ARMY say they’re Yoongi/Tae biased, but OT7, which means loving all seven of them equally. And members have asked us to do that in general. So while I’ll always be OT7, I’m Yoongi biased because his emotions and reactions to things are so me lol
It's from 2020. They don't always use the same microphones, but most of the time, especially years ago, they used custom microphones that matched their earphones.

This song is so beautiful the first time I heard it I was like so stunned by it! V does have such a huge range in his voice and just like you I can pick his voice out in a second when it goes high as well.
This song is the soundtrack of a Japanese drama film and they perform it in line with the tone of the work.They always sing and perform when they get on stage. It's almost like watching a musical.
BTS portrays all emotions in their songs, happy will be happy, sad sad and hype hype etc,,, thats why you feel that emotion even today,,, years down the line.
They started using the colorful mics, with matching in ears (not all of them match tho), *mid 2019* I think. Specially for the Love Yourself tour.
Although since 2015 they all had customized in ears with cute or simple designs, but they would still all use black basic mics before 2019.
Now they have more than one set each (different mic colours), I think V is the most particular one with his matching in ears, the others sometimes mismatch or just wear always the same one, like JK always wears his BTS ARMY logos one
the performance is from 2020, I think they are focused and trying to transmit the vibes of the song , in this case the song is emotional and is part of the ost of a movie that is also emotional. (and jk wrote it)
bts has had custom microphones since the ‘love yourself: speak yourself tour’ (2019), with time they have been changing colours or small details and sometimes they combine with their in-ears.
I just checked Netflix & Rakuten Viki for the film ‘Your Eyes Tell.’ Neither has it now, but Netflix may be adding it soon (there is a ‘Remind me’ notice).💜👀
Haters say they lip sync during live performances, but they don’t. You can tell when they sing, you can hear the sound when the mic is really close to their mouths and the breathing in between. There are videos proving this (by Oskitty Bangtan and others). Also, they practice singing and rapping while running/walking on treadmills to sound better during concerts/live performances. You can watch them on your own time if you want. 😊
They have had matching in ears and microphones most of their career and they each always use the same color.

I don't think they're particularly sad. They are focused : this is a very hard song to perform live and, as usual, they feel what they sing with so much emotion ! The melody is out of this world, soooo beautiful...💜
It was about a blind girl and her boyfriend they always try to make the sad song look sad it’s really good I think!
This is a Japanese song written by JK for an OST. It is not a happy song and I think it’s the feeling of the movie.
Mostly new armys don't recognize who is singing in the back or whose highnote is this . V does not do high notes often . Its either jungkook , jimin or jin . But as the main vocalist jungkook sings in the background most or do highnotes or either jimin do highnotes. V has high range and he sings very beautifully.
The song is in Japanese and was released July 15, 2020 for The Map of the Soul - The Journey, a BTS Japanese album. I guess they were feeling the song, which was why they look melancholy. Also, the song is way up there and I think they have to concentrate on hitting the notes! Lol 😅
I'm not exactly sure when they started having the same color microphone and inner ears. But if you look closely sometimes you can see that JK has the ARMY symbol on his inner ears. He wears them all the time. He has purple and white ones and he also has some that have his country flag colors that are the ARMY symbol. He s the only if I'm not mistaken that has inner ears like that.
The performance fits the tone of the song. It's somber. I love how JK wrote this song. He knows how to blend everyone's voices.

I think they’re styled very softly which is why they look younger because this wasn’t too long ago! 💜💜 this song is so beautiful & they emote so well while singing it 🥹🥹 i love Tae (yes Tae’s range is crazyyyy i love it so much) and JK’s voices in this song RM’s rapping especially!

Thanks! You're right, V has exceptional range. I'm happy to see when he can demonstrate that and people recognize it. In fact, all the members are extremely talented, multi-talented! I love BTS songs in Japanese! I actually love all BTS songs, but the Japanese ones seem to have a different shine. 💜
