This is a story about giving a skinny, shy, stray cat a second chance. She has been in the neighborhood for 6 months to a year, and living on wild birds and mice. She has been visiting and a wanderer, nomad for a ling time. She was an unwanted guest at our neighbors house, and she seemed to like Michelle. The neighbors asked me to take her home with me. we have chickens, and ducks, but she’s made no attempt to harm any of them. I asked around and no one claimed her. I asked Michelle if she might want a want an outside only barn cat. She said yes, so we opened our shop door while it was raining, and fed her. She stayed all day, and was waiting on the next meal. She’s been around for a week, started putting in weight, so we checked with our vet on spaying her. I was a little shocked to find out they quoted us $225.00 They said they would have to give her all the shots for their safety. 😢😢😢. No wonder people aren’t claiming strays.
