This is the first Low song I ever heard. Didn't realise how much I would end up loving this band. And now my heart is broken.
I heard the news of her passing today also, & the description of the band's style in the article intrigued me enough to come check them out.

was recently at a Beak show where Geoff Barrow called on the crowd to keep Mimi in our thoughts in september, and then they did a Low cover. i didnt know Mimi was ill. gutted. what a loss. my deepest condolences.

I never really got Low's music until I heard this song when it was released. This song blew me away and still blows me away. RIP Mimi.
Song is in the soundtrack of the movie "Killshot" with Diane Lane, Thomas Jane, and Mickey Rourke. Movie was ok, better than most these days. But this song reached out from the film and grabbed me. I had to find it. Thank God for the internet. Every so often it calls me back.
I really like that movie. It was a flop, but entertaining. That's what brought me here also. Joseph Gordon Levitt was also in it. Him and Rourke were pretty good.
The movie's under-directed for the kind of pulp thriller it fundamentally is, but the use of the song to introduce us to its characters (at odds with themselves, before they pair off to be at odds with each other) makes the song feel like it was written for the movie.
Having come to the song (via the movie) only yesterday it's taken up residence in my head, and makes me want to go deeper on this band. Was crushed to read that Mimi had left us, and sympathize with those she left behind.
Was shocked by Mimi´s news. Am thankful for all of your music and am very happy I got to see you live twice. RIP Mimi.

I got to tell you I'm a music lover. I have a very eclectic palette. I have always been on top of new music and new artists so it's an absolute wonder why this great band fell under my radar for so long. Now I have the pleasure of listening to them often. RIP Mimi

Been a fan of low for 13 years
Many years ago I listened this song in a movie, that i've already forgotten. I searched in youtube and found some more. And i came back from time to time, when my heart suffered and life went wrong. It always spended my a kind of comfort, to listen songs by LOW.

@@anonandake749 don't know the origin, just an old expression that says "getting the monkey off your back" referring to defeating addiction. There's another reference of this on weak and powerless by A perfect circle, which deals with similar subjects
