Riot: Some of your most interesting lore is the chase between Diana and Leona. Diana who found secrets the Solari destroyed and hid away for years and is forced to flee her only family because of her violent outburst, and Leona who in her zealotry and anger of Diana's attack, climbed Mount Targon and discovered Diana was right and is on a never-ending search for her. There's so much more that I haven't said, the lore is so detailed and rich and instead of pairing the two off with skins like you do so many others, you neglect Diana (like they have for years aside from Dark Waters) and just showcase Leona. This duo is literally MADE for a VS event, there's even a VS poster for them! Come on Riot!

Let me explain, the reason she has Lunar Eclipse is because in the Coven universe, Leona had to kill Diana and took her power of the moon.

Such iconic concept, such iconic duo and they went with Darius and Garen for the VS event, rather than Diana and Leona.
Nevertheless this skin is lovely, one of the best Legendary ones and Leona is totally worth it, she haven't got skin in a while now.
I'm glad she is getting a new skin, wasn't a massive fan of the PROJECT skin for her, but I do hope we get a Diana skin also.

EDIT: Blood Moon should be the Diana legendary one tbh. I remember the PBE thread when she came out, EVERYONE were literary begging Riot to withdraw her and change that BM Diana into legendary one or at least give her a toggle mask. Blood Moon Diana and Eclipse Leona were iconic concepts which fans came up with long ago back in season 2, it's was quite natural that they meant to be legendary ones.
@@damian4926 Sad times, i quite like the Diana BM skin, it would be great with more effects of course, but it's still better than stuff like the BM Eve skin and other lower rarity BM skins.
@@Summon_Aery As a Diana main I nearly never play that skin. Feels weird and a little bit unmatched, what I mean are the effects and animations. That stands in total opposite to the Lunar Goddess which feels to play just like the original skin, similarly to Dark Valkyrie that also feels like the classical one to play.
The issue is that if you are used to play on the basic Diana and than you switch to a skin it feels to play a little bit different, and you will tend to miss your Q much often than without for example. I guess Riven mains know what I'm talking about here.

0:26, 1:32, and 2:00 - I love how Leona interacts with Diana. Like it's so emotional as if Leona loved Diana like a sister or a girlfriend or what ever. The one thing I hate however, is the fact that Diana does not have any special interactions with anyone including the other Targons, Noxians, Lunar Festivals, Ionians, Blood Moons or Nami. I see a lot of potential to be had with her. Speaking of Diana, why does she not have this skin? Maybe Infernal and Lunar Goddess are the responses to the Leona skin, but still.

Now i undertsand how a player feels when their main champion gets an awesome new skin. I am jumping up and down from the hype.
1) It keeps up with Leona's theme of a female armored warrior. Meaning no exposed boobs and legs.
2) I think this is the original voice actress. So extra points for that.
3) It has a SoulsBorne feeling to it.
4) Unlike poor Leblanc, she got a skin that is worth waiting for all these years.
5) An awesome looking skin in general.

Main Leona since season 3. 1.2M mastery on her. This is the skin I've been waiting for. Been using Project Leona since it got released, Pool Party Dawn before that, and regular Pool Party prior to Chroma release, PPL being one of the first ones.

I guess Daina has got some skins recently. Some people may start rumbling as they did with Ahri skin if she gets one, but yeah, I wish to have Diana skin in his set too. Maybe they can release Leona skin first and then Diana's one weeks or months after, maybe with some event.
Also, personally I think the reason they're not doing Solar Leona and Lunar Diana is probably Diana already has a skin named Lunar Empress and it wouldn't do well if they add Eclipse on her. Even if they reverse like Lunar Leona and Solar Diana, Diana's Infernal skin would also ruin it. So yea... I think it's something like this.
Although Leona and Diana represent day and night, respectively. They're not really "enemies" more of.... people who just avoid each other because they know it'll be trouble
