What a beautiful piece of marquetry art Karl ! Can I ask what graphics application you use for your plans ?
Your arts are blowing my mind. :) Amazing precision. I'm trying with marquetery too. I have big problem with cutting some pointed, thin elemenents. They are breaking very often. I dont see it at your work. You have so amazing knife, or is it some way to make vaneer more soft?

To prevent the veneer from breaking, I often use wood glue or masking tape on the back.
