I can see why this idea was scrapped. Shepard revealing his diabolical war plans with corny dialogue like he's a cartoon villain.
Honestly if they removed some voicelines in this scene and added it prior to Shepherd attacking Soap, this wouldve been a great addition to the remaster
It’s unfortunate too because a couple of the lines are pretty good commentary on the folly of American foreign policy.
@@rfichokeofdestiny True, the dialogue just needs to be rewritten to sound less unnatural and forced. Cause it makes no sense why Shepherd would just unload all of this information on a guy he's about to kill.
Would have been a cool sequence if you had to stealthily get close to Shepherd as he shoots at you through obscured sand.
The subtitles makes shepherd refers to price instead of soap, perhaps in an even earlier version price was the one supposed to kill shepherd
this is kinda cartoonish and goofy but this ending seems better than the final one, being chased by him trying to sneak up on him seems more interesting than the MANDATORY call of duty quick time event + slow mo + epic music
I understand this is the alpha stage of the mission, but it really feels weird, even the voice lines of general shepherd doesn't sound like him, again I know this is an alpha stage of the mission which is why it lacks alot of animations and scripting but the voice lines just doesn't sit right for me
Problably fan made voice acted or just placeholders. CoD4 price had CoD2 Price voice by the way. That's strange as fuck too.
Usually, before they bring the voice actors in, they have people in the studio to read the script. It's nothing but for the level testing to see if everything works fine. And and they swap it for the real audio that was intended.
Placeholder lines. You wouldn't pay for an actor to do lines if you were to potentially scrap or change them early on.
looks like the lore was quite different, with Zak being a us-backed guy until...yknow
He was backed by Shepherd in the released version too. They just didn’t make it as obvious.
@@speedking7224I felt like there was at least an undercurrent of an anti-war message up through MW2. Then Activision fired West and Zampella and the rest of IW quit and the games became 100% CIA/Pentagon propaganda. Probably thanks to Bobby Kotick.
@rfichokeofdestiny yeah you're right. Multiplayer wise the games were awesome up until ghosts though
1:01 The subtitles are different
This is the ending that should fit. Sheperd is pyshically strong
ngl this would've been way cooler, don't know if it'd hit the same though
I really enjoy this. Instead of that super cinematic cutscene, we get a classic last stand, where the bad guy has a gun, firing at shadows of you through a raging sandstorm, and the player has to avoid yet hunt him down.
Lmao the insert at the end kills me
can you please give us the link to the build?
Y know that kind of reminds me of the boss fight with graves on mw2 remaster you have to hunt down the villain its kind of the same thing maybe that boss fight was inspired by that unused content
Though it's corny, I think this is more interesting gameplay wise. I think it was a mistake for MW2 and MW3 to not only emulate CoD4's ending beat for beat but to make them purely QTEs.
This is a cooler ending than the actual one. Literally having a 1v1 with Shepherd in Rust.
They could have put a lot more effort into the sequence of actually killing him though, Having him just die like any normal enemy with no special cutscene is pretty lazy and unimpactful
He dies like a normal enemy because it's just an alpha version meant for testing
Can u show this again with the particles for the sand disabled. I would love to see if he's running to different points or teleporting.
what is that ending ☠
I choose the final one , it's better
Really neat seeing all of Rust in it’s true form from the campaign.
This ending looks like It would hace bien More interesting
1.I knew about this before, but didn't actually see a video that shows just gameplay though.
2.Why would Shepherd tell Soap everything?
3.Why would the US uphold anti-american Zakhaev?
Not everyone was going to make It alive, Shepard knew that was him being killed or him killing price, besides they were in the middle of nowhere@@user-xe1pr3it9l
And for the Zakhaev thing, he mentioned that the support was before he became too ambicious
@@Ghost_2k Zakhaev was fighting against the government that was friendly to the US & UK.Wasn't he hostile to them since the very beginning?
If you focus on the voicelines you will notice that you were meant to play as Captain Price in this mission not Soap
yea the subtitles say price but he says mctavish
@@gamingbymarstaskforce141 yeah I guess that was in early stages before changing it to soap in this build
@@hiimpubg360 i wander if you did play as price would it end different?
@@gamingbymarstaskforce141 watching this footage the ending cutscene would be different I think they were planning on killing Soap in MW2 thats my theory thats why it lets you play as Price against Shepherd but they changed it later
@@hiimpubg360 soap was gonna die I guess they changed it cause they didn’t want him to die yet?
