  • In this second part of walking the Camino del Norte, one of the many ways of the Camino de Santiago, I grew more than I ever expected. I started walking the Camino to find back to myself and to move my body a lot. I didn't expect, that it gave me SO MUCH: Personal growth, mindset, enlightenment, new people and the best memories. Dive with me into the magic of the Camino! Tell me in the comments, if you'd also walk this way.
    Much Love, Amelie
    Thanks to Lukas (lks_kln) for some of the shots and always helping me to create.

    My wife and I did Irun to Compostela in Sept. 2021. End of Covid so only 9500 total did del Norte and only less than 2000 left from Irun. It was magical some days 2-3 days without seeing anyone except locals. You did a great job with your photos and comments to capture the spirit of the Camino. Well done. Danke. I lovedevery part of it. The country, the ocean and the cities.

    Oh naked in the water. Even though I am from this land, I have never seen a Xana. The landscapes are wonderful and I know some of them and others I don't. It is nice to rediscover my land through the eyes of others.

    Did you had any problems camping in the wild?

    • @Amelieasana
      @Amelieasana  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, not at all! When you sleep next to a church it's never a problem as a pilgrim. Also in nature, as long as you don't sleep in nature reserves, don't harm any animal or human and leave the place how it was, it should be fine.

      @@Amelieasana thanks, i'm struggling with the idea of bringing my tent etc.(plus 5 kg) or staying in the albergues. For the camino feeling and meeting people they say you should stay in the albergues. But mostly I like to be on myself and sleep in my MSR hubba hubba. Is it worth the extra kilo's?

    • @Amelieasana
      @Amelieasana  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, it's true that you meet a lot of people in Albergues, but like I said in my Vlogs they stress so much. I felt like it was a bug race to get a bed in the next Albergue, bc you can't always reserve a bed. So people rushed through nature just to get a bed and the ones who haven't had a tent and didn't get a bed had to sleep on a bench or in an expensive hotel. I personally loved setting up a camp place in beautiful nature and to sleep as much as I wanted and wake up in nature. It was waaaayy more calming and I felt like I have enough time to explore the nature on the way without being in rush. You can still make your 30km per day. I had 17 Kilos in may Backpack and walked the 800km and for me it was worth it. But if you don't feel safe to camp wild you can still ask people if you can sleep in their fields, gardens - we did that too and they where all so lovely and they help pilgrims for religious reasons.

      @@Amelieasana Thank you for your answer. I'm an experienced hiker/camper. i'm not afraid of anything, wat I ment was that in fact it is not allowed wildcamping in Spain. (I thought) Any issues had with that?

    • @Amelieasana
      @Amelieasana  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I thought so, just wanted to make clear why my extra kilos was worth it. 😊 Like I said, as a pilgrim you can always sleep next to a church or even in a church. Sleeping like that has been one of the traditional ways on the pilgrimage. So this is allowed. Also it's a religious thing to help pilgrims (for ex. offering their garden for camping). And like I said before, as long as you don't camp in nature reserve or make a mess, you won't have problems. That's what I know from the spanish police.
