Suzaku from YuYu Hakusho also has a lot of Naruto Powers: Clones, Lightning Blade, Phoenix Flower Jutsu, Controls Bugs (using a Demon Flute (Tayuya)). There is also the Psychics from the last arc, one of them has the Chakra Scalpel and another has the power to immobilise people by standing on their shadow. This is a good lesson: it's not that there's nothing new under the sun, it's that no work is an island. Everything has an origin point, and that origin point has its origin point. "Originality" isn't about having no inspirations or influences, because that's next to impossible. Even if it's something from your real life influencing your work, like a traumatic event or someone you love, you're still drawing inspiration from SOMETHING. It's about putting your own spin on what you're drawing inspiration from, giving it a unique identity, and making something that only you, in your time and place, can make. The problem is the more and more inspiration we take from past works the more degenrated our art gets, it's best to take inspiration from real world events in your own life
This can really be said for not only different forms of art, but ART in general. Us as artist are beings who are inspired to make things from things that inspire. us in any form. So originality shouldn't be based on something new, but something unique. We just add out own little twist to things that inspire us, and that is completely normal in art. Pablo said it best, "good artist borrow, great artist steal". So don't be afraid to take inspo.

Honestly this is very painful, as young as i am, I actually come up with my own original ideas just to watch an anime or movie to see that same idea being used in the exact same way
My dude I literally made a story I was gonna upload online but told my friend the rundown of the initial plans. My friend laughed after hearing me out and said the web novel he was reading the EXACT same plot points. Everything I mentioned before and after, that same web novel had done exactly that, the exact same way. I read it myself and it felt like I was reading a carbon copy of my story that never left the draft.
The only time in life where you're able to have true untainted original thoughts is when you're extremely young. This is also why however most of said thoughts are terrible. Without reference and inspiration creating something truly great is impossible at least by modern standards. The artists of today were inspirited and draw inspiration from the artists from the previous generation, those were inspired by the previous, and so on all the way back to the original cave paintings. It's part of being human, the important thing is to be yourself with what you create though. Don't just copy those around you verbatim. Make something your own while not being ashamed of the inspirations around you.
Humans have told stories for thousands of years. Every single concept of story has already been told at least once. What makes your story unique is not that it's concept is "original" as nothing really is (and if it is, maybe there's a good reason why nobody used the idea as it may be terrible). What matter is what you bring to the original concept, how you use your experiences, encounters, beliefs, knowledge and opinions to shape a generic concept into something new. So, if you find the exact same story you wrote somewhere else, here is how you shoumd proceed. First, do not get discouraged by it and instead think of it as a challenge to make your story better. Then, go deeper than thinking that the plot points are the same. I'm sure your story has a little something that is unique. Maybe your character has a unique quirk. Maybe there is a relationship that is different. Once you find that one special thing, expand on it and how it affects your story. Then, write and rewrite until you're satisfied with your result. And a last advice, even if you can't find a way to make your story truly different from the other one you found, if you really want to put it out, then do it. The only thing that matters is that you are proud of yourself and your story, and for your next story you'll find something more unique, more true to you
That too but people notice when something is done in the same likeness as something else. Or else we wouldn’t have the same typical revenge story of a certain shonen protagonist trying to avenge their nigh extinct clans

But like I said, I never heard anybody say that Naruto is one of the best manga out there, hell, I rarely hear people talk about the manga in the first place. Kind of a shame.
Kishimoto has a brother who wrote a manga called 666 satan which is also about a young boy with a demonic power within him essentially because both of them were inspired by the same source material.
My favorite naruto arc is when Ryu go wander the world to pursuit more power to avenge hia master, M. Bison try to kidnap him to implant his mind to his body and Ken tries to rescue him from it. Then there's a hidden villain with world domination plans, and another hidden villain when they defeat this one
Everyone takes inspiration from something to create something new. Its in movie, shows, books etc. I think it's shouldn't bd a problem as long as they aren't copying
Any series with a magic system and is exploring it through their protagonist eventually have "a test" to determine what powers the protagonist has. But the nen test and the chakra test aren't that similar ourside of what the obvious purpose of the test is for.
A lot of anime have similarities. Like the school boy theme. Or Naruto and Jujutsu Kaizen units with a mentor or fairy tale and black clover clan type thing. A lot of demon themes. However, with each they have their own story and their own creative, immersive, edge of your seat moments, and heart tugging moments.
What I think, being a ikustrator, is taht: the more you take inspiration OUTSIDE your industry, the better. Like, your art increase soooo much by just having other interests. Look at art from tother cultures, think outside the box... like, Araki come with his poses cause he love fashion, Versailles no Bara is just historical fanfiction but we remember them dearly cause they change the genre and you can feel their passion. It's nice to see a story thst is not a eco chanber, a history with feelings, imperfections, tests and errors and a lot of love ❤

Kurta Clan > Uchiass
Kurapika > Sassuke

This is a good lesson: it's not that there's nothing new under the sun, it's that no work is an island. Everything has an origin point, and that origin point has its origin point. "Originality" isn't about having no inspirations or influences, because that's next to impossible. Even if it's something from your real life influencing your work, like a traumatic event or someone you love, you're still drawing inspiration from SOMETHING. It's about putting your own spin on what you're drawing inspiration from, giving it a unique identity, and making something that only you, in your time and place, can make. Only Kishimoto could've made Naruto, only Oda could've made One Piece, and only you can make whatever you end up making, if you don't just copy and paste that is.

The only thing that matters is that you are proud of yourself and your story, and for your next story you'll find something more unique, more true to you
@@docomega7862 thanks very much for the advice, I won't give up then
