I REPEAT: he's not allowed to conduct consults, but he is allowed to give his dad advice/ask doctors questions on his dad's behalf since George knows more than his Dad, and his knowledge is valuable. He can offer his dad useful info like when he told his Dad that Burke was a risk for surgery, and that Izzie isn't a reliable doctor to get advice from after the Denny duquette bs. George too, when he moved out of Meredith's house and Burke took him in, although Cristiana was not happy that he was there, she let him stayed for a while.
